I can't help but feel that this would have been a good test for Renshaw to have played into some form. Conditions suit his style of batting perfectly.

Too late now but I'd like to see him brought in for Khawaja or Marsh and drop Bancroft to 3.

As for Khawaja, it doesn't matter how world class you are against the quicks (which he proved against South Africa a couple of summers ago) if you're such an easy out against a half decent spinner.

Might go and delete my post in the Ashes prediction thread. I had Khawaja as best Aus batsman, Hazlewood as best Aus bowler, and Bancroft for first century.

I'm a mug.
i think you'll get the bowler right and Bancroft is still a chance but i cant figure out why the hell you'd put anyone ahead of Steve Smith.

Yeah it is now or never for Khawaja. Make runs against spin or piss off.

Agreed

That was embarrassing you cannot be a test number 3 if you have no idea against spin
His career is going to end very quickly if he does not score runs against spin

I am more confident with posters on here facing an over of spin than Usman he is that bad

Embarrassing

Oh look, Usman out to spin. Wonders never cease.
This is why I said England did ok to patiently make 300 (especially with Cook and Root doing nothing). Barren pitch or not our batting is totally unreliable especially batting second after the opposition have lasted 100 overs.

I hope that Khawaja goes and works on his batting against spin bowlers between now and the next innings. He will struggle to keep his test spot if he doesn't.
