He had a not bad potential path to victory under a Final 2 scenario (getting to sit next to Gerry). That path narrows significantly under a Final 3.

This show has had decent intervention by producers the whole way through, so I don't mind it. If he wins it will be earned more than a landslide win vs Gerry.

Personally reckon Simon would vote George in an FTC providing George leaned from his last one and showed a fair bit more contrition. (Big ask). Simon doesn't seem the type to be that bitter.

I think if he just has Matt and Gerry there he has a shot at convincing them. A small one but one.

If Liz is still there he has zero chance.

Doesn't necessarily benefit Liz (probably more Matt) but she has a chance. So does George. Doubt Gerry would last long.

Unless Liz goes to jury villa and tells them all he really wanted Simon gone but knew he lost the votes at the end. It's his little comments to Gerry though telling him he was on board that keeps Gerry is his pocket. I still laugh how Gerry saw him as a traitor for 3 seconds, then forgets about it and he's all 'my mentor'. They've all been way too gutless and George will wipe the floor with them at the final tribal.

This season was on track for all-time great status, but man has it fallen off since the Hayley vote-out. 2 of the final 4 episodes will be non-elims, in addition to episodes cut to 2 nights a week it just feels like there's been so much padding with nothing happening.

Similar to Game of Thrones (even though it's scripted), it's frusturating as to how something can be great for so long but absolutely stack the landing.
