Gets paid extremely well to play cricket for Australia and is now leaving the Australia squad (team actually, he would be playing) to go and watch his wife play her final?

What a load of shit.

It's one ODI dead rubber in a series that means basically nothing compared to the chance for him to watch his wife play in a World Cup Final at home, something that they probably won't get the chance to do again.

Probably a decent chance that they would have rested him anyway and given Hazelwood or Richardson a game instead.

Haha Jesus. He’ll likely be forgoing some payment for leaving early and it’s a dead rubber. I think it’s fantastic that he wants to fly back and support his wife.

You’re trolling though, right?

Nope.

What would you say if Dave Warner leaves the ashes to watch his daughter and her dance recital?

Reaction? (And don't say ok because he is shit in england )

And no, I'm not comparing a 'womans' grand final to a dance recital. Nothing about women, nothing about anything like that.

He shouldn't leave unless for serious personal reasons (illness, a death etc)

those are your arbitrary rules. if the competition that Mitch is paid to perform in does not have such arbitrary rules, maybe different ones, then what's the problem?
