Come on Mazal. You guys cop some unwarranted flack but Israelson is a knob on and off the field. He is not an asset to your club at all and only contributes to the bad name that your club gleefully holds.

SKOB played old camberwell at mentone and although it was slippery conditions good signs showed by both sides, unsure of the final result but pretty sure skob might of got over the line. these 2 teams will be up there at seasons end

have you ever spoken 2 words to him???? I doubt it!!!
Back off..........

Bernards toyed with Ajax for 2 quarters on the weekend and were up by 10 goals at one stage before half time.

took all the guns off and played kids in the second half and still got up pretty comfortably.

its all coming together for the dogs nicely.

"took all the guns off and played kids in the second half and still got up pretty comfortably."
won by 1 goal !!!!!!!!!!!...... ["pretty comfortably"?] and how many Ajax players went off at half time ?
Talk about blowing yourselves up in your own eyes..
Yes STB'S were a very good unit in the 1st half ...but don't write Ajax off as you did....

The way you post angers me... colours, exclamation marks, different size font, capslock and whatnot, it really grinds my gears...

Adding to the fact no-one cares in the slightest about Ajax in this thread, why do you keep posting here??

The post from CG wasn't trying to put Ajax down but to pump up his own side, so f**k off with your shit talking... No one cares about you!!! Ajax aren't important so stop trying to make it out like you are..

brilliant CMM!

So, back to the footy, any round 1 tips?
Hampton v Blacks (08 a graders v 08 c graders... last yr bernies absolutley flogged Camberwell in a similiar game r1. tip- Blacks 15 points)
Ormond v Bernies (How do u stop robbins? Can bernies cover losing potter/pearson up forward? Tip- Bernies 19 points)
OM's V Camberwell- got no idea about this one other than lots of spruiking from OM's ppl on this thing. Very similiar to OCamb last yr after getting some big gun recruits. (tip- OCamb 38 points)
OH vOT's- This is a massive game. Old foes go at it for the first time in a few years. I would think OH just at home... but close (tip- OH 6 points)
SKOBs vOCarey- Couldn't pick against them at spaghetti. Have got 2 out of the best 5 midfielders in the comp. (tip- SKOBS 45 points)

Lock of the week is SKOB to beat Carey

Back off..........

I have spoken to him a few times Mazal. Mainly calling him a knob, W@nker, Tool to name a few.

I will back off as I dont want to get to close as you will poke my eye out with your big Ajax snozza.

Dont threaten me you fool, crawl back into your pathetic amusing club, winners of one thing. The worst club culture going around.

What a section!! Looks like we are in for some great football this year. You'd have to assume that the 2 sides coming up will be hard pressed to make finals. SKOB, OC x 2, OM, Bernies & OH all look to have improved, and the 2 relegated teams should both be in the mix come Sept? (Can someone give info about Blacks? - been quiet)

Great to be back after a long period of self analysis after just missing out on the Collegians coaching job . Chris you said that the Snowies took all of their guns off at half time, i would put it to you all of the guns took off pre season . The entire spine from last year has left . Roach, Sullivan , the tall ruckman from u 19 whose name begins with D that i cant remember, Pearson ,Potter and theres more . Bernies will not make the finals or my name is Brian.

we've lost very good players every year since 2000, nothing new.
got a stack of young talent coming through which is why we will be v strong again this year.
- little sullivan is playing and so is luke o'sullivan. Roach, pearson and potter gone.

1. Old Melburnians:
Got their act together in the second half of 08 including a 45 point drubbing of eventual premiers. Recruited unbelievably well (i.e. the right kind of players) in the off season and are playing a very good brand of amateur football. Will take it out one of the strongest B grade competitions of all time.

2. St Kevins:
Been there or thereabouts the last couple of years and will go very close this year. Add Tommy Simpson to a quality midfield that includes Dowd and they will be hard to beat. Will just fall short in a strong year but anything can happen come finals time.

3. Old Carey:
Finished the season very well last year after a slow start. Have recruited well again although I don’t think they will gel in time to make a grand final appearance. Not quite up to A grade just yet but definitely going in the right direction.

4. Old Trinity:
Quality A grade football club for a number of years. From all reports, no mass exodus as can happen on the drop, expect them to be there or thereabouts with Rambo and Cultrera going around again.

5. Old Camberwell:
Some very big names but I hear the wheels are already starting to fall off. Have to wonder how much these blokes actually care about the club. A cold snap in June/July could just about end them. Have to wonder how OC got them there in the first place…

6. Old Haileybury:
Big bodies will prove a handful for the lower teams and could smash some teams. Too old though to make a serious dent on the competition this year.

7. St Bernards:
Picked up a couple of handy ones but lost a lot of good ones too. May struggle at times.

8. Uni Blacks:
Travelling in the wrong direction after a fantastic 6 years. Now on the wrong side of the rainbow, will struggle in years to come methinks.

9. Ormond:
One very good player won’t make a team in B grade this year. Not too sure about the rest of their list, know that they love to smash up Revolver on a Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday night. Will do well to keep their spot.

10. Hampton:
Others have stronger claims.

I warned them a few months ago about the state of affairs at the Dogs and if they didnt appoint a high profile coach what the ramifications would be. Potter signed with Keilor on friday and Tate is also on the move . This arrogant attittude that we have that we are the best club in our area and players will never leave us must change because the facts state that over the last few seasons we simply are not . Committee from the top down get your heads out of the sand because if you dont we wont be seeing A section for some time .
I warned you Murph , but keep trying to talk the situation up . I do appologise Potter signed with Gisbourne not Keilor but then again we wont lose too many players will we .

i'm not talking the situaton up as much as u r talking it down
good luck to you, whatever your motives are...

keep sitting up on that high horse of yours and potting everyone... its quite amusing

I wasnt talking up anything to tell you the truth...no one really knows how things are going to pan out until the season starts...
However one thing i do know is..
- Bernies will win B Section...and in fact might win A Section as well this year.
- The club will be promoted to the VFL next year on the back of this years success with the plan on us becoming the AFL's 18th team.
- The next 5 brownlows to be won by Ben Jordan.
- Murphys Law to be promoted to the AFL commission.
- Dour Backs/Exciting Fwds to become the big new issue in football...how do we stop them?

Over and out.

Time for your tips, gentlemen! Same deal as before, I'll take them up until game time but don't leave them so late you forget. Mega bragging rights up for grabs here.

Hampton vs Blacks - lets see if Blacks can gel early on
Ormond vs St Bernards - coming off a premiership vs in the doldrums
OM vs OCam - Camberwell to take it up to them
OH vs OT - Trinity have a point to prove
Skob vs OCar - Only because its at the Rat Cage

See y'all next Saturday!
