Thanks for clarifying the ground redevelopment rumour GROUNDSMAN. Can you confirm that changes will take place this summer, or a couple years down the track?

The council understands that the ground is in disrepair and is over used. I cannot confirm a time frame nor the allocated funding but I will keep my ear close to the council chambers wall. It matters not what grade StBedes are in, however the Ammos could put preasure on the council and also could go to the AFL special funding department to help local football.
NOTE: Readers, please don't speak to 7.

Cant believe the diatribe coming out of the Snake Pit. You would think they are undefeated as they do not rate the Scotchies at all. Would love to see Scotch at least perform when expected too and send them to B Section...
Posted here on B thread in anticipation they will be a B Section team Saturday evening!

Render the ground un-usable...? It's been that way for years, small, potholed, dangerously hard. Health hazards that amateur players shouln't have to deal with. I hope they fix the bloody thing once and for all.

Who cares about the car park or the scoreboard, fix the bloody ground or find a new one.

ive never heard a guy winge like you before. for f*** sake get over it. sounds like you need to go and wrap yourself up in cotton wool, theres alot of hazards out there. - no shit sherlock -

Welcome to B Section St Bernards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
surely for the sake of the all essendon derby old essendon could do what they do best and that is choke during finals.

i was looking forward next year to seeing OE's square off with the pitters in A grade, there is always hope it can still happen down in B

Great calls by TBP and Quick, what a beauty the OMs AJAX game must of been!

It was an absolute ripper game. No more than 2 goals in it all day.

The Jackas were incredibly stiff. After having the answers to everything OM threw at them all day, they had the run of play for the last 10 minutes after going a couple of goals down, and blew two absolute sodas. One pretty much from the goalsquare (on the run coming in from an angle) and a set shot from 25 out right in front. Alas he took no time to sum it up, rushed the kick and never looked like going thru.

Alas they had they still had the chance to snatch it but a brilliant pack busting snap by a certain no 36 sailed less than a foot wide with about 90 seconds left.

Credit to OM's tho. After looking like they were on the verge of kicking themselves out of it a couple of times, they had the edge in class when it mattered most. A very measured 3Q time address by the Fly seemed to have the desired effect.

How big was the crowd? The word out of the Trott was that it sounded like an AFL game the noise was so loud!

I popped down to the Snake Pit for the 2nd half. There was no way I was going to miss that!

It's all part of the mighty jackas grand plan to finish there business.
Word on the street is that they are targeting a big name ammos legend to coach them next year. The bow legged one. He would look increasingly vibrant in the red, white and black.

Do St Bede's have any weaknesses?

They appear to be the best team in B grade. They have great depth, in that there twos and under 19's are on fire. They smashed it last year in C and have taken all before them in B. They are a club on the rise and have momentum and confidence behind them. Is it simply a formality for them this yr? Or can Old Essendon beat them? Does anyone feel as though St Bedes can be exposed anywhere?

I know Ajax either beat them or pushed them in the first final last yr, and smashed them by 100 odd earlier on in the yr. Is there something that Ajax knows about St Bedes team or style that can be exposed?

SBMT had a few guns out when Ajax smashed us earlier this year.

The only real hope for everyone else is that we do not adjust to playing on the bigger grounds that finals will be played on.

Cant see this being a problem. Yes, your home gound is a postage stamp, but you do play every second game away from it and handle this ok. Big finals are for big players (no matter ground size) and SBMT have plenty of star players. Cannot see anyone getting within 5-6 goals.

Gee the Jacka's loss to the High School (only win for the year) has really come back to haunt them hasn't it.....they just don't get over the line in the big ones do they?...2 points Sat. when leading well into the last term..last years GF.....I guess 'The Fly' had to have one good one in him at 3/4 time on Sat....maybe the footy card on the OM's website might survive for another year!

I wouldn't say they chocked because they had plenty of chances to win it, but they did just lack a bit of class and poise in crunch time.

Let's be honest though.... You couldn't script a better scenario in 12 months of footy. They have a premiership within their grasp and fold. Then 12 months later they need to win to avoid relegation and the same thing happens. Couldn't happen to a better bunch!

Just makes me so happy. I think I will jump for joy. Wonder if their supporters turned on them as they usually do.

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star, Tony always tended bar
Across a crowded floor, they worked from 8 till 4
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?

At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the Copa (CO!), Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the Copa....they fell in love

(Copa Copacabana)

His name was Rico, he wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancin' there
And when she finished, he called her over
But Rico went a bit too far, Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was blood and a single gun shot
But just who shot who?

Oh the memories!!!! And lets not forget about those tight white pants!!!!

Kinsella?

Word has it he has been approached as part of a package deal with Stretcherman. Ajax have offered free physio, Soy milk latte's (double froth), and dog grooming for Tinker Bell if Groves sign and brings Kinsella...

How good can life be, St Bern, AJAX, Fitzroy Reds and OPar all going down in the same year!! YEPEE!!!!!!!
