i don't have champion data in front of me but i can't remember any other teams having a 41 yr old (seccul) 39 (leowe) o'donnel (35) and i'm sure sam langford-jones is 30 odd. and good on them for their 19's doing well in their division but if they're not in 19 section 1 they are a fair bit off. anyway, they may just have enough talent to win a final this yr against a shaky (at times) marcellin.

tips for round 17
Old Hailebury - play their home ground too well
St Bernards - coming into good form at the right time. junction will suit
St Kevins - camberwell with too many out
Old Essendon - would've loved to have seen this game had carey still been alive
Caulfield - to keep the slightest possible chance alive

surely O'Farrell aint no spring chicken either....
and also, prior to this year, their ressies had won about 5 games in 4 years...

OEG v OCar OEG
OC V SKOB OC 3 big ins, 1 big out
OM V StB OM have been burning at Junction
Beau v Caul Caul
OH v Marc Marc, ground won't suit but reckon will grab psychological advantage, even though I don't think Murray Brownes boys have peaked

Murray Brownes boys have been demolished at McKinnon plenty of times and tmrw will be no different

St Bernards v Old Melburnians- Should do it easily leading into the finals.

Old Essendon v Old Carey- Playing good footy, big upset to get the whispers going.

Old Camberwell v St Kevins- Nothing game

Beaumaris v Caulfield Grammar- To keep B grade chances alive

Old Haileybury v Marcellin- Both teams are going to stumble into the finals, i doubt can make an impact come september.

Chris have a look at the OEG score!!!!

sharks 17-16 to Caulf 4-11.
Absolute dominant display by the sharks. Chris Collins taken mark of the year, watch out for in "ALMOST FOOTBALL LEGENDS" this week.
Sharks had winners in all areas of the ground and kept Caulf scoreless in first quarter.

Scotty Gower gave their backmen nightmares, these boys will have sleepless nights in 2009 when coming up against sharks.

I trust the Caulfiled 'bar fly's slept well last night.

Where has the team/club gone in 12 months??

May not have liked the previous coach's game plan...but what have you got from the extra $5k-$10k bringing in a big name coach and an 'under the table' forward.

PATHETIC!.

More action & less talk needed from some blokes that hold up the bar on a Thursday & Saturday night.....put up or shut up!

Whack!

Although please expand on the 'under the table' forward Cardio...

Some do move for love. Will coach be shown the door CC?

it will be amicable as GC does not want relegation & C Grade coach on the CV plus reduced pay packet in 2009.

Could be a chance for an old stalwart to return to the helm.

Expect an early signing for 2009 TBA and a shock movement for 1 coach

What an interesting round of footy.
Snowies with only 1 change to the team which flogged OH last week gets smashed by OM
OEG kick an amazing 16.3 without JC. Where was JC anyway? Rested, injured or struggling to walk on water
OCam beat SKOBS in another scrappy match which the top paddock at GBO always produces
CC sacks coach at Caulfield
and Marcellin smash OH at a ground that doesn't suit them with little input from Maclaren
Looks like the race for runners up is wide open
