Bachar Houli wants out, to Richmond

well that just shows the inexperience of hird, obviously he only knows how to play, not coach or valuate a list for what it is. good luck .... i hope he realises and goes back to gamba full time.

I love how you honestly think you, a nobody posting on the Internet with no knowledge other than what you read on the Internet, have a better idea of where our list is at than James Hird, a living AFL legend who works at the club and has it's entire resources at his disposal.

Maybe he could hire you as a consultant?

i just dont understand why you wouldnt take a 3rd round pick as opposed to losing him for nothing?
you're gonna lose him anyway so you might as well get something out of it lol, it makes no sense to me?

Taking a pick we're not going to use = pointless.
Locking up your PSD pick on the other hand, could potentially be of some help (Though I'd say the PSD is going to be pretty useless this year)

I am happy to let him walk to the PSD, as at least that means that Richmond have used their PSD pick, which means 2 things:

1. Richmond will miss out on a youngster that might be the next Barlow.
2. Richmond get to use one less pick in the ND.

Why not Houli for Thusfield?

How many fullbacks do we need? We already have two that are difficult to fit in one team, yes Hurley can play forward but he is better down back.

Ever thought that the Bombers not taking the pick we're offering might stop them from discovering the next Barlow or maybe the next Hird, but hey if you guys are happy to let a player go for nothing who are we to stop you.

As for using 1 less pick in the draft, given we're looking at using upto 6, including 4-5 in the top 50 I'm pretty sure passing on pick 80+ isn't going to hurt us that much.

And I bet algebra, punctuation, and optical spectroscopy make no sense to you either; the real underlying reason why, is because you're an idiot.

Slattery, calm down mate! I dont understand why we are even arguing about this trade!
It's not like you're trading Jobe Watson? It's Bachar Houli!!!!!!!!!
He played 5 games this year!!!!!!!
I'm just saying that you will lose him for nothing if you are not willing to trade him. Richmond will simply pick him up in the national draft with a late pick, thus leaving the PSD pick free.

Yes, yes you will.

What you're not understanding is this:
We've already made the call to only use 3 ND picks + an upgrade.
Is that clear?

So you're offering pick 46. ie, one in front of our last effective pick.
Agree?

Which, when we take it, moves your last pick up one.
With me?
Which is worth, basically, 3/5ths of a bee's.

So, your offer (nothing) or let him walk for free (nothing).
You see the quandary here?

No he's just playing hard ball. Probably how he managed to become a partner in a multi-million dollar company.
