Baker is being charged on 4 different charges and has been found guilty in all of them. This equates to roughly 3.5 weeks per offense and with his resume as long as his arm the MRP have hit him hard.

Comparing this to Hall's incident is wrong and completely different. Baker will contest some charges and maybe accept others but to be citied on 4 different charges in one game is stupid on his part and he needs to pull his head in. It will be interesting to see what the Saints do with this but 4 different charges from one game is massive and while the 14 weeks sounds harsh his prior record has come back to bite him hard.

I'm pretty sure he copped weeks for punching Johnson's hand. So glad that prick is gone for the year. He is important to the Saints is a nuisance and as has been said a dirty little sniper.

Maybe if Baker was more interested in getting his hands on that yellow leather thing the other 35 players were kicking around on Friday night instead of pretending he was Rocky Balboa and SJ was Ivan Drago, he wouldn't have a case to answer.

Was lucky to only get 9 weeks in my opinion.

3 Offences all off the ball so automatic loading, bad record its just a game of maths.

I don't care what maths you use there is no way you can justify giving someone 12 weeks for what Baker did on Friday night, bad record or not.

He got what he deserved if your going to do this type of junk so far off the ball this is what you have to expect.

Couple this with the 50% loading he had from the Farmer incident in 2007 and you get the fair call from the MRP

1point I missed,if umpires would pay a free in first place,all the sniper/taggers would be weeded out of the game as coaches will not put up with someone giving away free after free and they won't get a game on football ability alone,,,so me thinks start with umpire paying the free kicks in first place ,tagger/snipers then have to play to same rules as everyone else,,,tagger/sniper no longer can play on footy ability alone,so goodbye sniper/tagger. We as supporters will all be better of without layers that play put side the rules,,,,,please note AFL you can't do it to one and next week not do it to another when star players are near belted to death and retaliate ,the message is clear,but now it must be consistent

Are you honestly saying the impact of each of his 4 charges was individually worthy of a 3 week ban?

While at the same time saying that Steve Johnsons 2 strikes were individually worthy of 1.5 weeks each?

It is justified because he has been effectively reported 4 times in one match and copped around 3.5 weeks for each offense. Ignorant comment to say that Bad record or not should not come into it and thats the way it is. If you are a repeat offender you cop it.

What part don't you understand? Doesnt matter if it's in the one game or 4 seperate games, 3+3+3+3 will always equal 12.

No each of Bakers charges had 50% loading placed on them for his previous bad record so each of his strikes were worth 1-2 games the loading pushes this up to 3 games each

Also, getting reported FOUR times in the one game should have a percentage applied to lengthen the sentence. That is inexcusable
