Told everybody he was going to play before the end of the season (I said around round 20, so yeah not totally right)

Just on Colin, I have had a bit to do with him over the years and can attest that yes, he is certainly a bit rough around the edges and is not afraid to speak his mind but what he does though, is work his arse off for his clients (even though it appears he doesn't). He does not back down from AFL club demands, threats & scare tactics etc. and will always seek out the best deal. It's a ruthless business the AFL.
Imagine how bad the Test cricket team would be. At least at footy team it's bigger and you wouldn't be in each others pockets all the time. And you can at least move to a different team in footy..

Balic's injury was common knowledge, hell we talked to his dad at pre season training. We all knew he would eventually play this season. Know when his dad is coming over to watch him play.

Some on here know a lot more than is posted and do the right thing and prefer to keep quiet. One poster I know has become a friend of Balics and has kept his knowledge on him to himself. The right thing to do.

Sorry, just corrected that.
Player agents' first priority is the player not the club.
Of course they prefer to maintain a harmonious relationship with clubs but the player's deal is more important.
In the main, the agents have a good feel for what the club can realistically offer but they will always try to achieve the top of the band.
Ultimately the agent owes the club nothing.
That is his job
The most valuable role an agent plays is for the club to direct it's frustration and other unhelpful emotions at them and not the player they need to maintain a happy working relationship with.
I know. That's what I was getting at.
