If our next coach sucks, I hope Balme moves on him in quick fashion. I don't want a repeat of the circumstances that led to our worst ever coach being one of our longest serving.

What's troubling is the amount of seasons he is going to need to get it to positive territory.

In all seriousness, I hope he enjoys better health and maybe having a mentally demanding but not physically demanding role will be a positive in maintaining his health.

It would be perfect, he says he wants to step back but still help. His voice would be the voice of someone with extensive successful football experience “you want to re-sign Nicks now? What the **** for???!!!!!!!” “To limit noise? GTFO, you’re all weak as piss, you’re fired”

Plus I’m sure he could sit on list management and oversee any football department decisions.

Roo is chairman of football strategy and list management committees, I'd think that provides plenty of opportunity for hands on without the day to day grind. Those committees set the agenda and the paid staff implement, ultimately the performance of the footy dept is responsible to those committees.
