AJ Klein also part of the deal.

I would be really upbeat IF he was a WR but then…. Our only losses have been due to our defence giving up 10+ point leads.

A third round pick instead of a second would be more palatable BUT he is the almost best in his position.

Hopefully good business in the end.
Well I’m livid he has been traded and of the entire gutting of the bears, he was the one I wanted to keep and pay
Bears on the cheap again 😡

Now that DeCosta has put his valuable picks on the line for this year…. We must take advantage of it.

IF we had Smith earlier, I doubt we lose all 3 or even any of our losses this year. He is an elite level LB and we just needed 1 better play in each of our losses to get over the hump.

But….

IF he was prepared to spend these picks, why didn’t we get him earlier? We certainly needed him. Perhaps the price went down a lot but seriously, he would have helped a lot!

Ravens designated S Marcus Williams (wrist) to return from injured reserve.

Williams went on injured reserve after dislocating his wrist in Week 5. Baltimore has 21 days to officially bring him off injured reserve. Before going down, Williams was tied for second in the NFL in interceptions. He had snagged three balls from opposing passers while also being credited with five pass defenses.

Tyler Badie terminated his practice squad contract with Baltimore on Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log.

Badie was taken by the Ravens in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and saw ample opportunity in the preseason, but he failed to make the 53-man roster and was subsequently waived. The Missouri product then signed to Baltimore's practice squad and spent the entire season there before terminating his contract Wednesday. It's unclear if he's found another team, but after rushing for 1,604 yards and 14 touchdowns and adding another 330 yards and four TDs as a pass catcher in his senior collegiate season last year, there figures to be some interest in him from other organizations.

What’s your thoughts on Lamar’s situation? If he’s holding himself out now and obviously not risking himself cause of the contract situation. Surely there’s not a chance Baltimore let him go?

His getting franchised for next 2 seasons atleast before he can even test free agency.
If they see no hope of ever signing him I can see them trading him to qb needy team for the farm just don’t see it being this off season.

Yeah you’re probably right about the following year atleast. Try to mend the relationship. Sounds on the outside to be getting a little sour. I found Baltimore such an enigma of a side, can be anything and beat anyone when Lamar is on. Thought they could give the afc a real shake but that’s obviously fizzled out now. I’m sure getting him a legit 1 wr would help even more. Think his a better thrower than people give him credit for.

Yeah but he can still refuse to play even if he's franchised cant he? ALA Laveon Bell?
I'm still of the opinion that if your going to ask for so much of our money, then you better be good enough to make up for the upgrades we can't afford, and I don't think he is

He can refuse to play but then he doesn’t get paid. The franchise tag for qbs is 45 mil where is the rb tag is 10 mil. No way he doesn’t not play for that type of money.

When you got Prescott/Watson/Wilson all earning in that 40 something to 50mill a year. Lamar is 100% there and worth more than all of them which he’ll be saying. Whether Baltimore want to pay him it’s just how the qb salaries are now. It’s either a rookie contract or you prob want to paying at the top otherwise you’re stuck with your garopollo’s + Derek carr range and better hope the side around you is elite. San Fran, the perfect example

I wonder what another team is going to give us for Huntley? He appears to be getting better quickly.

OR perhaps Lamar goes to a team desperate enough to trade us multiple firsts and give him $50M+/year.

Monken likes to run heavy sets, 1-2 TE, 2WR, over 59% of the time at Georgia.

As much as I can dream about adding Hopkins or another elite WR, it’s not going to happen. Expect us to sign a cheaper veteran WR, draft a CB first round, draft an edge rusher in the third and a guard in the fourth.

Harbaugh will never change.
