And choked!

It actually goes both ways.

How is it that a once proud club like Carlton has CHOKED in so many critical seasons and games in avoiding the wooden spoon -
2 wooden spoons in the last 4 years and 4 since 2005, and a 2nd last finish as well.
How can a once proud club lack the fortitude and resilience to avoid such embarrassment for it's supporters.

Its one thing to lose to the eventual premier in a GF. its an entirely different thing to lack the fortitude and courage to win enough games to avoid the humiliation of ONE wooden spoon let alone 4 in such a short time.

Any supporter would chose the pain of losing a GF to the embarrassment of ONE wooden spoon. But in the case of Carlton we see the indignity of a team who's made a habit of winning wooden spoons, and staining their supporters with perpetual embarrassment.

Talking of humiliation & embarrassment .......

The Carringbush (aka The Filth) haven't beaten Carlton in a Grand Final since 1910.

Just in case you can't count ....... that is 108 years (soon to be 109) :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Now run along back to your own Board!

One would need to have a look at 1970 Grand Final to get an idea of a supposed invincible team’s total capitulation. Perpetual tears and total embarrassment was everywhere to be seen amonst the Pie supporters.
One of the Mighty Baggers very best and sweetest victories will be forever cherished.

So you take comfort in the above to comfort yourself and the embarrassing recent history of your clubs dismal fall from grace.
Who am I to deny you your pleasure however misguided it may seem.

I suggest you trawl the internet for a digital copy of the game, as I suspect your constant requirement for solace with the above, to comfort you during the profound failures over recent times, would have ruined any VHS copy due to over use.

At least you don’t have to trawl anywhere for the last time you had anything resembling some success, believe your club released a box set to commemorate the event.

What exactly was it that you won again?

What we “won” was the return of respect in the AFL, after a short time in wilderness.
Meanwhile you guys haven’t learnt to start a fire, to provide the light that could guide you out of your wilderness.

Hey don’t forget it was Blues supporters that were the biggest reason Bucks kept his job, we have been fans for years. We even had a hashtag trending on here for a couple of seasons when you were really shit and still trending downwards.

We needed a decent challenge from you blokes to help kickstart our revival. Thank goodness you planted that mole MM to try and destroy us from the inside, some on our board may not have fully embraced the necessary changes that have woken the beast.

Strap in for a decade of dominance ... if you can keep up.

pie supporters only really fear one club - you can hear this arseclown from here, whistling its way home through the graveyard - faux bravura (that's fake courage for the hoddle street hicks)

The only real fear is if you’re asked who you support and you wimpishly whisper - Carlton.
Your vocal cords have become sclerotic with the burden of recent failure.
While we have found our voice again.

when did the pies lose their voice? do you go to games?

Lol I bet you've been saying that for years! Fun fact: if you triple your win tally from 2018 you'll likely still be bottom 4!

Fun Fact: If your boys get "simple minds" in again to get the edge on the competition and stand in a circle they'll be holding four balls in their hands instead of two.

Errr, no - the last 5 years actually.

18th, 16th, 14th, 18th, 13th :thumbsu:

A very simplistic analysis, one that should be used for the progression of a players average stats, rather than a team's future finishing position

Wondering how accurate the analysis/prediction would be, if we looked at some other sides

Demons - 16th, 17th, 17th (2012-2014) then starting their climb 13th, 11th, 9th, top 4 finish
Pies - 11th, 12th, 12th, 13th, then this year playing a GF

I guess you also used this same analysis, to suggest WC wouldn't win the GF. Or maybe your club will do what it has done "on average", since 2009, miss the finals, back it up with a similar result the following year
