Same thing with a facebook video of it.

What a pointless discussion that you’d hear between any Dogs and non-Dogs supporter. Not particularly redeeming for either involved. The sum of it seemed to be “I heard there’s communication issues” versus “Well I spoke to some people and heard there aren’t and anyway some issues are normal in a club” “So you’re saying there’s an issue”. Repeat for 7 minutes. Did I miss the bit where the actual potential issue was explained or why it was caused?

Darce's point is that a communication breakdown is not a news worthy article, and he is right it happens everywhere in every workplace.

Damo got my blood boiling there.

Agree with that but Luke let himself get flustered and didn’t handle it very well (slipped into the ‘ol well you haven’t played so what would you know). Barrett was trying to play up the issue and tried on the 3 CEOs in 3 years which is easily knocked on the head when it’s really just that Stevenson didn’t work out and so we appointed a temporary replacement out of the existing board (who had no ambition for a long term stay - the fact that he managed it quietly probably allowed a longer period to get Bains). So I would’ve pulled him up on that point and also queried whether he thought Kent or Bain’s were bad appointments and whether he thought other clubs (e.g. Hawks) we’re similarly in turmoil as a result of changes to CEO.

As for player unrest I’d ask him for what the details are and who it is within a club (without revealing sources) he is speaking to if it’s not the coach or exec and why he’d consider those sources more reliable than those that Darcy spoke to.

Thanks LardDog , I was suffering insomnia before you posted that clip. Problem solved.

Barrett is really something we shouldn't concern ourselves with too much.

Agree, but we on BF seem obsessed. We take the bait every week - hook, line and sinker. He must love it.

I don't really want the club buying into it too much. It's strong positive feedback for him (even if it's to haul him over the coals) so he'll just keep on doing it.

I preferred the ignore tactic. Let our results do the talking.
