Competition Battle of the Avatars

Jack Darling is my favourite player, on and off the field. In 2017 I looked after his son. I was warned not to approach him because certain other high profile cricket and footy players have reacted differently but he was so lovely, and so was his wife (who’s a physio). Despite being tired , and worried about their baby, he was awesome, and appeared at least appeared as interested in my work and me as I was in him. I couldn’t have asked for any more.

Jack is a top campaigner.

Welcome back everyone. I've had a good sleep, and am well rested now in preparation for announcing the other two teams that will go toe-to-toe in the Battle of the Avatars. We've met the avatars who think they're people, now we meet the avatars that actually are people. First of all, let's meet the Artists.

There are 68 posters who identify as artists, which is the second largest of the cohorts.

The Artists are actually an amalgamation of three provincial avatar teams - the Film Buffs which has 30 posters to choose from, the 20-person TV Party and Musos United that consisted of 18 posters. Two of the Film Buffs in moginie & Deaneus! sought greater opportunity in Musos United given they were short a couple of players so made the switch across town.

This is how they lined up in their individual teams:

Film Buffs:

TV Party:

Musos United:

The selection table meeting between the three teams, known simply as The Great Reqet, was a violent and bloody event. There were many casualties on all sides, but the team that was left standing is stacked with talent on all lines and goes into the Battle of the Avatars as one of the favourites. The final side that will represent the Artists lines up like this:

The jumper that they will be running out in is this thing, featuring a yellow brick road over the royal colour of purple.

How have you managed to be more confusing than TJASTA?
I’d say that’s more an indictment on your googling skills rather than my uncanny ability to confuse randoms on BigFooty, including myself.
