Seemed to take ages for the medical staff & the cart to get out there - looked like Warner trying to signal for them, the umpire calling them also and then a third player also trying to get the cart out

Were they holding off on the bringing the cart out until the medical staff got out there or something?

Looks like continuing on which is fair enough (provided they have available replacements but that’s genuinely deflating for it as a contest.

Main thing is both players welfare

I know this happens every week in footy codes.

But does it feel kind of like the bloodied corpses were just dragged from the field so the show could continue?

I'm not suggesting the game should've been called off... it's probably more an issue with the broadcast and the lack of info, it feels very sudden that we're back playing again.

How hard is it? Just say something like:

"For the sake of the players' families, we won't be showing any replays or making any judgements about what happens next for either of them. We hope for the best for them both and we'll give you an update on their health when we hear anything new. For now, we're just going to talk about xyz ..."

And then just shut the hell up.
