Jono Wells is underrated, why wasn't he in the Gades starting line up ahead of Harvey.

He didn't have a great first half of last season, got out single digits a number of times but had a couple of strong innings to finish the season

Can't say for sure, got no inside info on anything, but can only think that they opted for Harvey to start the season as he was the younger option and coaches had half an eye to the future

Wells will stay for the rest of the season now though

Both Melbourne teams have been terribly coached in this aspect of the game for a while. They can’t or won’t control the rush of blood and try to hit 36 off every over.

Compare their approaches to Perth or Sixers. It’s not a coincidence that those two dominate almost every year.

The Renegades might scrabble together 140-150, which would be easily chased down by a competent team. The fact it’s the Stars still gives the Gades a chance of a win, as it’s just as likely Maxy and co will try and bludgeon their way to the total instead of taking a measured approach and will get bowled out for 100.

Early game.

At the sokka but based purely off the output then Wells in one innings did more than. Harvey has done for the whole tournament.

My only gripe is that Sutherland is in too late.
