BBL Match 33 Sydney Thunder v Perth Scorchers 13/1 1900hrs @ Sydney Showgrounds Stadium

10k is still appalling for Sydney. Perth and Adelaide crowds would have still hit 20-30k+ on a day like today. Probably both sellouts if finals were on the line too

What else is there to do in Perth? The stadium is a heck of a lot more accessible too.

The scorchers losing doesn’t mean the BBL is dead.
Far out give me a spell there’s some silly takes in here.
Tail enders slogging and getting runs at the death doesn’t mean the competition is a joke.
The BBL is well and truly alive and with the Thunder, Sixers and Hurricanes locked into finals I look forward to the remaining weeks games to see who gets 4th.
Going to be unbearable commentary wise with the 2 Sydney sides in the finals.

Will be a Warner vs Moses jerk off in the commentary box.

Not really much of an excuse though. 10k in a city of 4 mil is crazy work for (apparently) a huge sporting event

It’s not a “huge sporting event”, it’s a domestic cricket game that’s it. It ain’t a test match or something

Perth showed how serious they have treated this years comp with Mitch Marsh/the coaching team resting him for both Sydney fixtures. By the team he plays next game, the season will be pretty much over. Too much rotation with the squad this season. I know rest is important and all but you play your best players until you have sealed finals spots or in a good position on the table.

Didn't you see the SCG test.

Sydney Fans make Test Cricket a priority when it comes to there cricket.

And we do it every year getting behind the McGrath Foundation even if the weather is shit the crowd turns up.

You guys do it differently over there Scorchers first, Australia second.

Which is fine Perth are the one town that treats BBL seriously.

Give me Test Cricket over BBL anyday of the week

You need to read between the lines with MM.

He looks mentally cooked and I bet he asked to be left out.
If he was available, the Scorchers would've played him.

Too many players missing games for various reasons and poor recruiting this year hasn't helped.

Also think Turner has been poor with the captaincy.

So even after how shit Perth have been this season we're still a half decent chance to make playoffs. Need to beat Strikers in Perth, Renegades to beat Heat, and Hurricanes to beat Stars?

Lol relying on the Gades winning. The other results could happen
