Ben Lennon still keen to stay at Richmond

He could not have done more in a season where we had virtually no injuries. Every time I checked he would have kicked exactly 3 goals and have been amongst our best in the vfl.

It is hard to know what will happen in 2018 but if we believe he can be in our best 22 then hopefully we give him the opportunity.

I don't see why such a strange reaction to Kingy's post?
Common sense decrees Lennon is in a pretty tight spot at Richmond.

Just saw on twitter that Lloyds manager said he wants to explore options elsewhere. Not surprising given how good his form in the magoos was and couldn't break into the team. :(:(

That's what I thought I heard at the family day last Sunday...Lloydy on the podium suggesting there was no real chance of him lining up in a tigers GF next year

To be honest Lloyd can see whats coming through

Small Fwds : Stengle,Bolton,Butcher,Rioli,Castagna + Markov & Menadue coming through as speedy players that can go through there
Mid: Graham , C.Ellis as backup

He needs to move and continue his career, Hope we can get a pick around late 2nd (35-40)

Maric and Yarran, delisted and I personally would have thought Elton, Hunt and Morris would all go before Lennon this year.
That's five places to fill. Currently our 5th draft pick is 72, our 6th would be 90 unless teams pass or don't use a 6th pick.
However we also need to consider Rookie upgrades. Castagna definitely will get onto the main list. Stengle may stay on the Rookie list another year, do we need to promote any of the others or can they stay on for another year?
Regardless, with Castagna coming onto the list we need more room, so it doesn't look good for Lennon. We may take a very late pick which we use to upgrade a Rookie.
Have come to your point of view Goldust Pity for the young man, but time to try his luck else where.

That said Lloyd and Miles (and Menadue) are probably our 23rd-25th players ... you really don't want to lose them.
Injuries were ultra-kind this year ...... a few hit next year, I'd be more comfortable with Miles and Lloyd in the team than anyone else.

Nah, Tiff Cherry asked him about being still in the mix to make the GF side in the week after the VFL granny and he replied that he was never a chance.

Not surprised he is looking around though. 38 goals last year, great form in VFL this year but couldn't break into side. Likewise, heard Hawks are sniffing around Miles. Biggest problem for next year will be keeping the depth that helped make us premiers.:mad::mad:

I hear Miles to the Hawks as well ... and Lloyd down the road to the Cattery.

Not fussed whether he stays or goes...

But considering that Towner is certain to get a new contract and more $... and we should be extending Graham for more $, simple accounting probably means he and others are on their way out

Miles and Lennon are probably on OK money and whether through fault or not you can't say they deserve to be backed again from a $ point of view.

You can't keep everyone and only so many $ to go around.

I have faith in whatever decision the football department decide is best for us.

After his antics with his contract renewals id offer him a rookie spot and say like it or lump it.
Should prove more than enough incentive to pull his finger out. Sick of this lazy prick getten paid well to put in half arsed efforts in the vfl.

See what hes made of when money doesnt fall from the sky for him
Lennon is a similar size to Caddy. He's a good Mark and a better shot on goal then Caddy. I'm not sure if he is as quick as caddy but maybe he needs to mould his game around what caddy does and then he might find himself on a senior list. I can't believe we've been paying him 400k...

Understandable but a little short sighted given our amazing run with injuries this year. There is plenty of time for him to be a premiership player at Richmond.

Still if we can get something for him that could be a handy trade

Myth! Lennon regularly misses set shots.
