Lennon is a similar size to Caddy. He's a good Mark and a better shot on goal then Caddy. I'm not sure if he is as quick as caddy but maybe he needs to mould his game around what caddy does and then he might find himself on a senior list. I can't believe we've been paying him 400k...
Caddy has a work ethic and balls. He does 1 percenters and prtotects his teammates.
Lennon has none of the qualities above

I thought he looked pretty good in stages in the VFL finals.

22 years old, natural forward, pick #12. Has a lot of upside I think still. Would be pretty happy with lennon as depth.

as other have said is we lose Lloyd we should keep lennon

The question is does Lennon have the ability to work on these attributes and turn his game around. If he can mould his game around the caddy game then it may just save his career. I don't know if he can do it we can only hope but I am sure that the club has communicated with Lennon what is required of him moving ahead

Lennon can be a lot better than caddy...

he can certainly improve and be a gun. Will he? who knows.

Caddy is certainly a long way ahead currently and has proven himself to be a solid part of the side

They needs to put his back against the wall and give him an ultimatum. Get it right or pack your bags. I believe that they gave Butler one more year and it seemed to work for him

I’d argue vickery had shown more to this point tbh. Still in a draft so weak after 25 offloading lennon for pick 69 isn’t worth it. 1 year deal
Shown more of nothing still means nothing. TV was gifted games whereas Lennon wasn’t.
Pick 69 for Lennon has a ring to it. Well done you’re getting better.
A weak draft after 25 ??? I think we’ve had this discussion before.
Considering all the late picks and rookies that have made it over the years let’s leave that for the expert and not for X the unknown quantity and spurt a drip under pressure.

All I’m saying is everyone you talk to says the draft is extremely weak after 25 and lacks depth. Doesn’t mean you can’t get a good player late but your chances aren’t great. Be interesting to see how Richmond view the draft and if they’d prefer an untried player for 2 years or lennon for 1

We can elevate two rookies in Moore and Stengel who have more upside.
If we’re arguing over keeping him for a 69 er then your argument is already weak as we all know Ben has shafted us before for nothing in return.

I like Ben. It’s a pity for his sake we went to a fly like the wind, tackle as though your life depends on it game plan this year because he was finally fit, and has the talent and smarts to lead to space, take a grab, and kick straight.
If we go with the same plan next year he does not fit in and we may as well trade him for whatever we can get.
The timing of his injury was awful - I reject the popular contention on this forum that he is lazy and / or stupid. Any other Tigers team for the last 30 years he would be easily best 22.

He reminds me a little of Menzel who just got delisted, classy player with little athleticism. Both Carlton and Adelaode cut their losses with him, and maybe it's time Richmond did the same with Lennon.
Menzel is the more naturally talented player between the 2 but Lennon has done more at a lower level which is higher level than the Sanfl

Looks like Menzel is the more lazy player out of the 2 and he doesn't give interviews on a regular basis , Lennon is the Richer $$$ wise due to bending us over 2 years ago

Lennon with his skill set and developed body went at 12 because he was playing against U18's, most of which were well below him on those levels. But without pace he struggles, like Miles and Lloyd. They just don't have the ability to get separation from their men or the pack. Have to re-invent himself somehow, if he's given another shot.

Lennon wanted to be traded a few years ago didn't he? Well here's his chance. We all have our favourite players and we all have 'ins' on guys we know personally, but that does not change that Lennon has done next to nothing and asking to be traded when you have been at tigerland for just 2 years is not a good look. Makes it look like you think your shit does not stink.

Lloyd is a way better player, has the runs on the board and is contracted. Lloyd should know that the chances of playing Rd 1 are huge, in my opinion he was 23rd man (despite who we named as emergencies).

I don't mind keeping Lennon if we have delisted enough players already, but I would shop him and if no interest rookie him.

Wasn't this also said last year though? Was a weak draft after 25 or so.

Then we got Graham at 52.

Make him into a mid.

At the very least an elite endurance runner.

I agree, makes good decisions when he plays through the midfield at VFL level and has great skills by foot.
