Bendigo FL discussion 2022

No firm commitment as yet from those players Bootz but let’s just say if I was a betting man both players will be lining up with the bulldogs in 2022. My mail tells me they will be turning out for the club despite approaches from their VFL club to play there next season.

Well if the Doggies land them both, things will be looking good at Wade St for season 22.

No sorry Bart. I was asking because I wanted to find out as well. All I heard was that there were two former VFL players at training.

There was no mention of any VFL players in yesterday’s article in the Addy so maybe it’s the 2 Pio’s kids who maybe played a game in the VFL last year? Or maybe square are keeping it quiet and not mentioning anything to the press about it?

Until the 2 individuals availability is confirmed, Square will be continuing to play a low key approach. Trust me, the players are not pioneers but far better credentialed and experienced. Would be good additions to the club if they do run out in 2022 on a full time basis which is what the club is hopeful of occurring.

Yeah I’d be guessing some clubs would keep there cards close to there chests.
Anyone on here with close links to Kyneton know anything about the bloke they signed today if he’s half as good as his brother at the Bulldogs he seems like a handy recruit.

He is a great recruit for the Tigers. Very good player and versatile - can play lots of positions and will make a big difference to the clubs fortunes. Most importantly a really good fellow who will be great to have around the club.

Mason will be a very good pick up for the Tigs. My sources tell me, that he won’t be travelling down solo either, and his companion will be a top 5 midfielder in the league this year.
At this stage looks like Kyneton have added
Dean Bartrop - Tullamarine
Adam Bartrop - Tullamarine
Ben Xiriha - Kangaroo Flat
Jake Safstrom - Riddles Creek
Oscar Power - VAFA
Mason Crosier - Port Melbourne colts
Mason travel partner xxxxxxxxx

and a high possibility with 2 more past Kyneton players returning you would think the Tigers would be significant improvers.
on top of that haven’t lost one player from last years best 22 which is a massive result in todays environment.

How are their points looking, there's a number of 4 and 5 pointers listed above

Played with Jake years ago…where has he been and how has he been going?
He’s been at Riddell as his old boss was heavily involved there.
The club was wrapt to get him back as he is a very popular guy amongst the young tigers and sets a real high training standard.

The rumoured traveller with Crozier hasn’t been finalised as yet so just a rumour at this stage. If he is secured he will be a great get for Kyneton and will be a star performer in the league. Kyneton are also doing a great job attracting locals back to the club so the points situation should be ok.

Some good quality players coming in to the league in 2022 and Castlemaine have also picked up some good players which should hopefully see them being more competitive. Great to see some excellent pick ups at Maryborough too - Rick Andrews is doing a terrific job with the Magpies and making a big difference already at the club.

If I’m a betting man I’d be taking Winx like odds that the traveller is signed sealed and delivered!
The third potential traveller is one that’s still being worked on, but I’d be quietly confident the car trip might have a third person occupying a spot in the back seat

Still a long way back from the pack tigs last year, should bring some excitement to the league. Are you confident you'll knock off Gizzy?

I reckon Gisborne will be the team to beat this year. With our boys having 5 players on VFL/NAB league lists, a lot will depend on how many of them we get each week. If we can somehow have all 5 for Good Friday I’d be fairly confident in saying it would be our strongest side in the last 10 years ( including the year we finished 3 before being knocked out in straight sets)
