Blake left due to his dad leaving the Presidency from memory.
That was the second time he left, to Gisborne.

Anyone got anything on the current state of the bfnl ? Apparently the board is meeting soon ? No need for an emergency meeting - only trying to save the comp from total collapse

Not true at all. The club will see out the year and continue to endeavour to put a senior team on field each weekend. The combination of a long weekend, unavailability, injuries and just the club being in a challenging position all came to a head last Saturday. We should be in a better position this weekend although as everyone knows it’s far from perfect.Anyone at the Eaglehawk game on Saturday? I’m told there were a few whispers going around that Maryborough are going to pull the pin now they’ve played everyone once. They were scrambling to find players to fill the side, at one stage Saturday morning they were 7 short. Not claiming that this is fact, just that this is what was doing the rounds at the ground.

Lots of happenings going on with the future direction of the club with meetings, input from many, old players coming on board and looking at a potential new coach for 2025. Coby is doing a fantastic job but has supported the endeavour for the club to see who may be around and interested in leading the club going forward. This isn’t an easy sell but we will continue and see what happens. There has been conversations with some well credentialed former players but there is a long way to go before anything eventuates which will be influenced by where the club plays in 2025 or if we exist as a stand alone entity.
Whilst there are many challenges, there are lots of positives which include the club ball this weekend and ticket sales have been excellent. It is pleasing to see so much support for the club in these challenging times.
The club and environment remains positive and that is pleasing to note too. Everyone is certainly working hard which is great and important in these times when everyone has an opinion which is primarily negative and often from uninformed individuals.

Give it a rest will ya
Not yet Forest. All options are being discussed and we are going through a very thorough and comprehensive process as we are looking at the long term future of the club whilst considering 100 plus years of history. Whatever the outcome it is important we leave no stone unturned as the decision is to be one of the most important in the history of the club.Has a vote been taken on leaving the league lfg?
Why should I - one of the most uncompetitive competitions in the state and nobody is held to account. Clubs dying with nobody facing the music - it’s disgraceful

Who at your club has faced the music? No one there responsible for the predicament they have been in over the last however many years?
Plenty face the music - all the volunteers face it daily. Can’t compete so develop juniors more blah blah - good to see your mob has come back to earth being on the bottom of the under 18s ladder - may it long continue

I take my hat off to Coby Perry. I genuinely respect him as much as any bloke running around in country footy. Keeps fronting up week after week, year after year when he could easily fill his pockets in any league he chose. Good on him, there aren’t many like him around. Not true at all. My mob?
Great supporter of country footy aren’t you that you wish other clubs ill will.
Coby Perry deserves a huge amount of credit for the job he’s taken on and how he seems to have gone about it. His stats on Saturday were incredible. Not true at all. Don't think that's the problem, sounds like he's open to just say a darryn Cresswell jumping on board and staying. It's not just doing the same thing and expecting different resultsBloody oath - I’d be locking him in as coach now. Who are you going to attract that’s better than that bloke. He would have to be the best bloke in the world to do what he’s done under absolute horrendous conditions.

If Creswell had to choose between Corowa and Maryborough, who would he choose? He’d be great, but it wouldn’t be cheap to get him to Maryborough, especially if they leave Bendigo.Don't think that's the problem, sounds like he's open to just say a darryn Cresswell jumping on board and staying. I think the lure of the Murray, a better climate and demographic would make that decision pretty easy.If Creswell had to choose between Corowa and Maryborough, who would he choose? He’d be great, but it wouldn’t be cheap to get him to Maryborough, especially if they leave Bendigo.

Some interesting thoughts there Trent.Im not sure what he'd ask for to coach? He does have a business still in Albury. I'd imagine minimum 70k to coach, 2 years, so there's 140k. What you get is players to sign on. You're not paying 3 times the price for 1 year. You'll get players at market price, plus the excitement he brings to the region, so your best guys from the mcdfl are more likely to be lured in as well. So you've got 10 good recruits and a good coach, Cramer might come back and bond from Ballarat too. Then you've got your juniors with 2 years to learn how to win and build winning culture.
Gisborne did it with mcguane, set themselves up for 20 years. Even when they had a mass exodus from the giesch appointment, they blooded talented juniors who you could see played gisborne footy and they were back up in no time, even strath and square this year will be better off in 2-3 years by blooding so many this year.
Maryborough coaching wishlist if they are to remain in the bfl
1 mcguane use the sumner and tranter links
2 cressa
3 adcock
4 McCartney
5 malthouse
Mick isnt leaving Keilor anytime soon I dont think Trent. Coaching his sons at junior level and firmly entrenched in the club in all facets, raises huge amounts of money, more than pays his way. If Adcock has AFL coaching ambitions he isnt leaving North unless climbing the ladder within the AFL system. Dont think McCartney is leaving Hawks, futures looking Rosy and I dont think Mick is keen to coach anywhere. I reckon they probably need to get an ex player someone straight from the AFL and build from there if they are staying BFL. Reckon probably a Marchbank from Carlton or someone similar.Im not sure what he'd ask for to coach? He does have a business still in Albury.
