Fizzy certainly have turned their season around, they seem to be responding to sharpy better than after the 6am trainings expect the to make the 5

Have picked their game up but wont see the finals Trent. Kyneton look the goods now to claim 5th spot which will be a feather in the cap of Addo and the Kyneton crew. Storm and Dragons was a very good game I thought we had improved since the first time we played them and I think we showed that. A win would have been greatest confidence booster but I think we will still take plenty away from it Fitzy was positive after the match.

It was a good game Fly, but Strath will have a much stronger team on the park come finals and they also enjoy the QEO. Lachan Ross was was outstanding when he went to centre half back, as he was against Square. (That is really passing the acid test). His play is so constructive the Dragons should consider leaving him there when Tim Martin returns, playing Matt Thorton in one key forward position and hope either Ben Anderson or Ryan Haythorpe can overcome injuries and fill the other. Tom Calvert has been really good around the ground and there is a role for him. With this set up I think they can throw out a real challenge come finals, but then again I reckon Square will too. None of the top three teams have got anywhere near their best line-up on the park yet so the likes of Eaglehawk have real work to do.

The winner of the Kyneton v Castlemaine match in round 16 should make the five. Kyneton will be at home which puts them in the box seat.

You make some good points Strath favs no doubt but on our day I think we could beat them.

I agree, only prob being that with a lack of "game plan' you rely on your good player all firing on the same day and it doesn't seem to happen against Strath!

The Flat have no hope and the way they are going will be lucky to win another game in my opinion ,a very disappointing year.

Flat are obviously happy with their year by signing up the jugga for another season, not sure that is the best decision

All sorted as Greg McClure has taken over from Brooksy and he is to be commended for his work and is a life member at the club
Jugga getting resigned is ok
the list is the walking wounded and as they have had to return players early from injuries to fill gaps the list has lost fitness and confidence
Thinking give some kids a run is last few games and re set for 2016

sure there will be plenty of versions on the grapevine and even I am not fully sure of what happened
But do not know of any underlying issues and would think that a coach being reappointed takes more than one person to make the decision

So it appears Stevens has been given the green light by someone and the President Paul Brooks hasn't agreed and snatched it? Bizarre that it would have been a matter of urgency to have Stevens re appointed without full input of the Clubs committee. Also agree with Roota they should have been looking around too see if they could attract interest of someone better credentialed he could have been the fall back option in 6 or 7 weeks time after they had approached and had answers from a few targets. Flat were pretty ordinary at the weekend.

But do not know of any underlying issues and would think that a coach being reappointed takes more than one person to make the decision

Agreed.
Unless you are winning and finals bound its hard to justify reappointment. Improving from a low base to challenge is also good but a pass mark for Flat this year is finals and they are looking shaky at best.
Based on their list should they be a finals contender or are we overrating them?

No doubt that they should play finals based on list, even with injuries during the year and to that the article in the Addy is just strange? If the side is flat and playing selfish football its the responsibility of the coach to turn it around.

the other thing is Jugga does it for minimal $'s if I hear correct
Flat has made it clear to supporters that they won't over spend and won't go into debt to chase a flag
Maybe ( and just guessing) that it is also a financial reason..

Don't have any exact numbers but was told considerable amount less than current cost to pay a coach at this level
Can't see Corey doing the job..great Bloke but would need more life experience as he is only young
