Ah, the voice of reason.Rather than stopping with Treloar and Aish, I've decided to include all the guys we've been rumoured to get over the last 25 years.
I personally can't wait to see our forward line of Lockett, Jonathon Brown and Nick Reiwoldt...
On second thoughts, I may wait until the end of trade period.
Melksham is a POTATOWilliams Frost Langdon
Varcoe Brown Sharenberg
Sidebottom Treloar Crisp
Adams Cloke Broomhead
Elliott Moore Swan
Grundy Greenwood Pendlebury
Aish DeGoey Reid Oxley
On the Cusp - Cox (Upgraded), Maynard, Ramsey, Patty K, Marsh, Freeman, Fasolo, Toovey & Macaffer
Delist - Dwyer, Young, Keefe, Thomas, Armstrong, White
Find new homes:
(2 Team Deal involving Lions and Giants)
Witts or Goldsack and pick 6 or 7 to GWS for Treloar
Seedsman and a 2nd rounder to the Lions for Aish
Kennedy could have value back home to SA.
Sinclair could offload for a 4th rounder easy.
Gault could be value for a 3rd or 4th rounder to a club searching for a backup forward.
Others I would have a crack at:
Kruezer - via FA if we have cap space would justify trading Witts to go with Cox's emergence.
Jake Melksham - would be gettable, right age for us and is hard at it as a solid running half back or fwd flanker.
I guess you mean as a whipping boy?Jake Melksham would be a good replacement for Jesse White
Melksham is a POTATO
I guess you mean as a whipping boy?
That's your opinion mate so good for you.
Looks like im not the only one with this opinionI guess you mean as a whipping boy?
unless we keep young which is unlikely....the cupboard is going to be bare with jesse and young gone
Even with all those injuries their average age is 25 and a half and 100 games, they have an advanced mature list approx 2 years ahead of usI don't get this "best 22" thing.
Here's the Eagles injury list at this very moment;
As at August 25, 2015
Brown (knee) season
Cavka (ankle) season
Duggan (knee) season
Mackenzie (knee) season
Tunbridge (shoulder) season
Waterman (ill) ongoing
McInnes (hamstring) 7 weeks
Lycett (knee) 3 weeks
Butler (hamstring) 1 week
Schofield (hamstring) 1 week
McGovern (hamstring) test
Selwood (ankle) test
Wellingham (ankle) test
That's 9 players unavailable this week, and at least 6 of those were close to or in their "best 22".
You don't win a flag with 22 players, you win it with 30 +.
And that's sort of my point, we may have a best 22 at the moment but we don't have a lot outside of it.Even with all those injuries their average age is 25 and a half and 100 games, they have an advanced mature list approx 2 years ahead of us
In one game our average age was 23 and 70 games because we have to replace injuries with teenagers
Christ.our best 22 (or best available at the moment) includes players like Young, Seedsman, Witts and White
Looks like im not the only one with this opinion
I reckon that Seedsman might step up to this role, if we keep him.
