This would be my order of favourite club songs..

1. Richmond
2. Collingwood
3. Essendon
4. Port Adelaide
5. Melbourne
6. Brisbane
7. Hawthorn
8. Adelaide
9. Geelong
10. West Coast
11. St Kilda
12. Kangaroos
13. Fremantle
14. Carlton
15. Western Bulldogs
16. Sydney

WB and Sydney, 2 absolute shockers, boring and slow, puts me to sleep when they win and its gets played.

However up the top, Pies Dons and Tigers, easily best 3 i'd have to say, just real traditional theme songs and the players really get into them when they sing the team song after a win..

What is everyone else's orders?

ANYONE WHO DOESN'T PUT THE DOCKER'S SHOCKER LAST IS TONE DEAF.

Best : Richmond , Sydney and Kangaroos for me

Worst: Freo , St Kilda and the worst song ive ever heard in my life is West Coast's Theme song i would be embarassed to sing that. They need to get a new one:thumbsdown:

You wouldn't believe how shocking my clubs song was
something like
rizza razza
whiskers on your nogga nogga
wizza wazza
who are we
we are the boys from the ********* ***** team
did we win
yes we did
how did we do it
we ****ted in

We generally did murder the opposition though, but the biggest chokers you'd ever see won every game till the GF.
Ahhh haha ahh well kudos for actually making up something instead of other local clubs that just re-word an AFL song :p

I always liked ours. It was to the tune of Road to Gundagai. You know, "There's a track winding back to an old fashioned shack along the road to Gundagai."

Went like this:

Keilor Park is our name
And football is our game
To be the premiers is our aim

When our teamwork is going
The goals keep on flowing
For the boys in orange and green

We're a club full of champions
A team of good mates
We can beat all the others
We've got what it takes

When the season is done
We will be number one
We are the mighty Keilor Park!

Ok not gonna sky rocket to number 1 on the charts but I always gave it points for originality :p I actually rate it higher than a fair few of the AFL club songs... probably including my own.

I dislike ours for the reason that the players really struggle to belt it out, even after a hard fought win. But singing it amongst the crowd works pretty well.

I like the one after a win, although it's not a song we still versed it anyway;

Captain: "How'd we do it?"
Team: "Eeeasy!"
Captain: "Where'd we stick it?"
Team: "Up their arse!"
Captain: "How far?"
Team: "Alllllll the wayyyyy!"
Ours is a bit different to that we go:

Did we win?
we **** it in
How did we do it?
easy!
who's on top?
she is!

an original topic....a current affair, today tonight, and now we have big footy!

i think all the club songs are a bit of a ****. good for the kiddies, and also the old-timers, but quite embarrassing for those in the middle.

i used to cringe at watching the players sing it in the sheds after the win....now I don't even bother to watch.

footy songs sung by players should be dirty and left alone to them....

like you've ever heard it
Nah especially since Dennis has taken over. Nice 25% winning record means I dont really hear it that often :)

1. Melbourne (I've heard it so many times and I'm not sick of it. Deserves to be #1)
2. Richmond (Easily the 2nd, for already mentioned reasons)
3. Carlton (da da da da da...etc etc)
4. Sydney (Just like it)
5. Collingwood (Probably so high simply because the first game I can remember going to was a Melbourne vs Collingwood game)
6. North (If not for the main part of the song, I love the intro the players sing)
7. WB (Sounds like a carnival which is corny, but I have a soft spot for it)
8. Brisbane (Like how they kept the Fitzroy tune)
9. Hawthorn ("Happy team at hawthorn". So much wrong with that)
10. Essendon (meh)
11. Geelong ("the greatest team of all"...with 6 flags)
12. Adelaide (Being the Pride of SA does not give you the "admiration of the nation")
13. St.Kilda (Catchy but far too repetitive)
14. Port (meh)
15. WC ("For years they took the best of us, and claimed them for their own" - It's called a draft)
16. Freo (Embarassing)

Freo's is appalling. Anyone who likes it shouldn't be allowed to pro-create.

Richmond's is ace. And how can you not like Sydney's? They are shaking the thunder down from the sky. That is cool. North's opening is good, the more well known bit is average.

I can deal with all of them except Freo's and Port's.

There was (is) a team in Launceston that had the zippidee doo dah song. jingle bells is probably worse tho.
Our school (in Launceston) do it after every game we win. No idea why, but it's just a laugh, we're normally happy with ourselves after winning so it doesn't bother us how **** a song it is.

It's interesting how the team songs everyone seems to hate are coming from the more recently established interstate clubs - Fremantle, Sydney, Port, and West Coast. Adelaide and Brisbane have been bagged once or twice on this thread too.
