This is actually harder than it seems when we’re doing cross-era comparisons and totally different type of players. One was more influential in the major rounds, the other a more consistent quality performer.
An interesting perspective:
How would Robran go in our current team in 2023?
How would Crouch go in our squad in 1997/1998?

I think that's Robrans position.
Was he good or was he not is why he's early in this debate.
But he kicked 6 in a preliminary final, which no offence to Matt Crouch is worth more than he has done in his career to date (that could change)

Two different positions. Matt 1:1
Robran was a good meh forward but never a star. Got to remember Robran had Jarman, Rehn, Modra, Riccuito, McLeod, Goodwin Smart etc all around him. Great players can make mediocre players look better than what they are. Robran wasn't crap but he simply loses this battle.

This new one is a ridiculous comparison. C’mon man. You need to have players who are comparable in their positions and/or styles.
