Tex (cool head that won us the match)
Betts (legend player, best recruit after D Jarman)
Talia - thought he had a cracker down back, doggies supporters next to me commented on how well he had played also
Sloane (hard at it all game)
Thommo (his usual best in and under)

Sloane, Betts, Walker, Henderson, Knight

Thought Sloane was the one who picked us up off the ground when we got blitzed at the start.

Sloane was immense in the first. Serious leadership to get us going when there was some deer in the headlights stuff going on around him. Could have easily been 6 goals down without him doing what he did.

Sloane - Put us on his back in the first and was instrumental in getting us back in it.
Walker - Put us on his back in the last, said nup, not having this, and brought us home.
Talia - Stringer's first came when he was off the ground and his second when he was absolutely robbed of a mark.
Betts - What a little legend.
Knight - 10 gamer. Boy oh boy wowee the composure.

Tex (Captains game, basically said we are not losing this game)
Dangerfield (Solid all day before an amazing last quarter)
Betts (5 goals, set up a few. That goal 20 seconds before 3QT was massive)
Sloane (Works incredibly hard, his pressure and off the ball work is amazing)
Knight (break put performance, his fitness is improving and starting to drift into the midfield)

Henderson, Talia and Thompson unlucky.

Carbon copy of my thoughts

Went Walker, Betts, Dangerfield, Henderson and Knight
I did the same except I put Sloaney in Knight's place.

Footnote:
From where I was sitting last night, Cameron was quite lazy in pressuring the ball carrier (usually his direct opponent) coming out of our forward line.
I don't know if anyone else at the game noticed this at the Crow Cheersquad end.

CC... if you are reading this, You were superb at this aspect of the game when you debuted against the Pies last year...go back and look at the tape and pull your farking finger out. Its not just about your goalkicking.

I've heard people canning Jenkins. OK, he wasn't on fire, but he played a true "non=statistical" role. Vital for structure and allowed Eddie off the leash. Also, lovely little tap backwards to Eddie in the goal square. Thought he was more than serviceable.

This and as he said post match, he realised it wasn't his best game, as long as most of our forwards are up and about each game we will win, everyone's bound to have a quiet game every now and again.

Only 30 votes for Hendo ? Wow

I know we all have a love/hate relationship with him and he's often one of our whipping boys, but it's hard to ignore the fact that he played a ripping game and was easily in our best 3-4 players on the ground.

I struggled to get 6 players into 5, it wouldn't let me.

I wanted to vote for Hendo and Cheney but I thought the five I chose had amazing games and couldn't not be picked. Sloane, Walker, Talia, Betts and Knight. Danger obviously great too, especially when it mattered but some have to be unlucky enough to miss out.

Hendo was better than Knight.

Knight had a great game, but I think most are voting for Knight over Hendo because Knight is younger and Hendo has pissed us off so much in the past with indifferent form that we have a preconveived bias against him.

Yeah more than likely that's the case
