This is getting completely out of hand. I'm not sure if this is usual or not but why do police think that he needs an escort, have they info about realistic threat? I blame the media for this BS. **** them for drumming up this hysteria. If Gaff is attacked (highly doubt it) they are to blame.

Dare say it's a Melbourne Airport directive.

They know it will be a circus, and don't want the media going ape shit as he's heading out. It would disrupt the flow of the normal everyday traffic through the terminal...

SEN even dragged in Neville Bruns this morning…that incident happened 33 f***ing years ago.
Gil should have had the balls to convene the tribunal yesterday and put a stop to this, no one involved here has anything to be proud of.

The AFL are doing nothing to quell the hysteria because Gil is a pathetic pandering weakling who caves on every single issue before the AFL.
 
He gets special protection because the media are swarming like sharks around a carcass all trying to be the one to take the biggest bite out of him because he's a footballer.

So yes, in short, he's getting special treatment because he's a footballer, but there's a big step in the middle that some twats are skipping over. As if an AFP escort is something you even want to get.
 
I can't believe how much the media has gone to town on this. The problem i can see is who'd want to come to our club now that is so heavily scrutinised by the media (on all sides of the country). I've already resigned to the fact that Gaff will leave now.

Why are they attacking Gaff about the escort? I severely doubt he'd of asked for it.

Now let's be fair about this. Pavlich would currently be under a lot of pressure by his employers 9 News to get the exclusive first interview with Brayshaw. The pressure would be huge considering his links to Fremantle, wouldn't want to stuff this up.

Now think back to his playing career and how he crumbled under pressure late in the game. Expect some wild actions from him just like his wild shots on goal late in close games.

He must still be salty he got smacked around like a little bitch by Gardiner all those years ago. I remember him trying to physically intimidate a young Brad Ebert in a derby. :$

Why does that make him a twat? Surely in a bias thread the thought would be 'if he is right, Nisbett you have stuffed up' and 'if he is wrong, what an idiot (twat)'

It will be interesting to hear what comes out as I wouldn't have thought Pav would come out with that unless he had been told by Brayshaw or Neale that it didn't happen. Nisbett has form in this area but again giving him the benefit of the doubt, you would hope the WCE media dept would have given him correct info.

Either way this is all craziness.
