Can someone report the content of the jk interview

Pretty Vanilla - Bazil was sheepish. Standard remorse questions & answers. Towed the club line really.

He also said he's not playing this week. Would try for the week after that depending fi he can get through training. Definitely wants to be up and going for Brisbane game..

I find it quite short sighted that they're going so personal when Eagles are very likely to be in a prelim or grand final in a few weeks. I can't see them getting much access for exclusive coverage.

Certainly putting themselves in a precarious position on that front. And the club should take a hard line with them for sure. Surprised we let JK do the 6PR spot with Bazil following last nights debacle.

I'd be surprised if we see him before finals.

I get what Duffield, Bas and co are trying to do, taking of admittedly unfortunate incidents and make a trend out of them. What I don't understand how you take a couple of heat of the moment incidents (one off field by a non-player, one on-field) and make a trend out of them that talks about culture. Yes we had a culture problem around the 06 era, that was completely different.

Also, I get some on here feel like this is happening to us because it's West Coast, but the media would be doing this no matter who the club was.

Wheatley just cut somebody off Sen for suggesting that Brayshaw ducked at the last minute and unfortunately got him high. Gerard said “Poor form” I don’t know what was cut off, but it appears trial by media is still strong

Contributing factors don't suit many in the media's holier that thou narrative.

I think it's going to end up being a good thing for the team. It should galvanize us more than ever and we're a real chance to come out firing against Port next weekend.

The media are looking to derail us & it's going to have the adverse effect.
I hope you're right, but the last couple of times the media has gone all out on us, the team has came out flat and lost (ie 2015 GF).

lol at this, Wheatley just said they had to cut him off because he made inflammatory remarks about someone else from the past.
How about all the people calling in saying gaff is a thug!

The rancid and puerile media fanning flames as usual. The tribuneral has handled these types of cases before. This mass hysteria is a joke. If it goes beyond the AFL system, the Eagles really need to come out firing. It's not our way, but i for one have had a gutful. They should boycott all media before and after games.

Oh no it's clear we're an arrogant pack of outlaws who feel we're above the law. A rampant culture of violence and beating children up.

Disagree. There's 2 incidents here and they're making it into a cultural issue. There were 2 incidents of Ross Lyon sexually harassing people and they didn't turn that into a cultural issue.

Maybe Pav's wife should spend a bit more time watching more footy before she calls us flat track bullies.

Ironic given Pav started going the snipe later in his career in derbies, picked up a few suspensions after playing us

Leading up to the first Derby Ross Lyons sexual scandal gets swept under the carpet because Fremantle out of the blue decide to bring up the fact its a Rossco medal. Fremantle were pure rubbish on Sunday and Lyon escapes any fallout from it.

That's the worst part. We smashed them and Ross escapes scrutiny for his shit coaching and shit style of play

I'm starting to think that Nisbett's press conference was perhaps a little unnecessary altogether. It just allowed the media to add more fuel to the fire since it looked like a desperate attempt to defend Gaff and somewhat club culture. Perhaps they could've let the tribunal run it's course and only make a full statement/presser afterwards.
Reports don't necessarily require a press conference from the CEO, although this is possibly one of the worst that one of our players have been hit with. It's purely a player issue imo, not a club issue. Gaff acted alone.
We could still have supported Gaff and offer sympathy to Brayshaw through a club statement or something. Then again without a presser, we still might have been slammed for staying "silent". Guess you're damned if you do and damned if you dont...
