As a Collingwood president he should only be thinking about what's good for his club and it's supporters. So, it makes it 100% reasonable that he argues pro Collingwood every chance he gets. And that will always be the problem with his two jobs. He can't do both of them successfully.

No problems with that. This price gouging has been going on for years and years. Just because no-one has complained about it as loudly in the past doesn't mean that Eddie is wrong to complain about it now.

They did their best to not explain that decision very well. From what I can gather, they simply had 13 "journalists" select their sides and formed the side based on those submissions. Only 3 players were in all 13 sides - Riewoldt, Tom Mitchell and Breust. So the captain was allocated from that group as it was more of ranking process than a collaborative one.
