For the record, had rain hit after 5 overs and it'd been reduced to 5 overs a side, I believe we would've been set 110.If rain hits, we could legitimately be set 100+ off 5
Specialist batter in the IPLIn Australia's defence, how were they to know Cummins' would bowl as poorly here as he normally bowls in T20Is and in the IPL.
Recon we might see some change after this series finally .
Finch has been going for 5 years too long , in terrible form and unimaginative captain.
Maxwell is amazing 1 out of 10 innings
Starc is so overrated
Agar is almost as good bowler as zampa but can actually field and bat .
Playing our test bowling quicks in t20s ?
None can death bowl and all come onto the bat very nicely
The fact finch has failed for 3 years to have any sort of consistent form and is still playing is the biggest problem .McDonald really shaping the team in his image of not being good enough at bowling or batting for international cricket.
Would you rather a mean coach who got every ounce of performance out of his players and has successI think the simplest answer is that this was never that good of a T20 side, and they won a World Cup on the back of a soft group, Poms and Pakistan choking in the semis, and to be fair two good performances in the SF and Final. And now that trophy has led them to back in a flawed team/strategy. Plus the fact our test players never play BBL means players like Smith, Starc and Cummins have played * all T20s in the past decade.
Or it's that JL was mean to them and Cummins has opinions. Hard to know.
Why is it one or the other ?Would you rather a mean coach who got every ounce of performance out of his players and has success
Or
A nice coach who would rather have team unity than success?
The former, but I would strongly disagree with anyone who suggests that describes Langer.Would you rather a mean coach who got every ounce of performance out of his players and has success
