Sitting on bus on way home. 30+yr Eagles member and attended all the big games (incl gfs). Not sure I’ve heard a louder crown than tonight. Was bloody awesome to attend. Anyone in crowd that can compare notes/dB levels?

Really good game of cricket - the ebbs and flows in that run chase were insane. Was on a knife edge all the way through and the Heat could easily have won had a couple of things go their way
All season the Scorchers have found someone to stand up when it counted without ever relying on the same one or two players to do so. Fitting then that in the final two men who’d been spectators for most of the season step up to win a game that looked lost when Turner was run out
Turning point was that quite extraordinary 18th over when a teenager was composed enough to go 6.2.4.dot.dot.6 and shift the momentum the Scorchers way. Brought the equation down to 20 off 12 with a raucous crowd at their backs

Wk 1 qualifying final in 2018 was off chops. Tonight was good but not quite that level.
Fek me though. I thought we were cooked when hobo killed Turner. Then big balls connolly said "hold my beer". We in the crowd lost it as he started hitting boundaries.
