Morris caught behind survives by about the length of a bee's dick. 6-129 at the tea break.

Chandrasinghe still in with the bowlers (O'Neill, Murphy, Boland, Perry) to come.

Chandrasinghe may yet save this match with 30 overs to go on day five.

Shame it's day one with bonus points being pissed away.
Yeah, the commentators have given him a lot of praise and said that he's a good complement to the other batters in the lineup, but the problem with his slow scoring rate is that it puts all of the scoring pressure on his partners, and also that they're pretty much ruling out any chance of winning via a draw unless WA completely fall in a heap in their first innings.

This is an outrageously slow innings from Chandrasinghe. I've never seen anything like it from a top order batsman. I'm not too sure what to make of it frankly. Vics have faced 90 overs and still haven't reached bonus point territory.
Boycott says 'Hi'.
The man would have been proud to call this innings his own.

Lehmann was discussing slowest ever batsmen, and obviously Boycott's name came up. He talked about a game where he was 63n.o. at stumps. And another where Tavaret was in the 60s. But this guy is only 46. It's next level.

I know that there's bonus points for reaching 200 quickly and it could make all the difference in the end if it's a draw - but as the saying goes you cannot score runs when you're back in the pavilion.

Oh yes, for sure. But that style of batting also allows the opposition to attack relentlessly, knowing that they won't be bleeding runs.

No attack is that good.

If you can't hit boundaries, you have to at least drop it and run and rotate the strike.

Puts too much pressure on the guys at the other end IMO.
There's no better time at the crease than when you're partner is on top of an attack and ticking the scoreboard over. Heads drop in the field and batting becomes much easier.

I'm all for grinding out an innings if that's your style and conditions dictate, but I think Chandrasinghe may have taken it to too much of an extreme today. But I'll see how the game pans out from here before condemning this dig.

is reaching 200 in 100 overs really that quick? Imagine how many bonus points bloody England would get
