Bit of pressure on Bangers to make some runs in the Shield final. Batting lineup looks very thin.
Whiteman as well. Too many low scores from him this Shield season.

WA won the toss and will bowl.

Bancroft
Whiteman (c)
Wyllie
Cartwright
Hardie
Turner
Philippe (wk)
Paris
Kelly
Rocchiccioli
Morris

Harris
Chandrasinghe
Kellaway
Handscomb (c)
Short
Sutherland
Harper (wk)
O'Neill
Murphy
Boland
Perry

Still bitter about Inglis not being released for the final given that he was never going to play in the last two ODI matches unless Carey got injured or sick.

Ooh, bowling. Wicket must be like last game. Risky move otherwise.

Virat is an amazing cricketer, any animosity towards him is misdirected.

If he was an Aussie we'd absolutely love him.
Apparently a ripping bloke off the field too.

Also one of the main reason India has kept taking test cricket seriously despite the IPL going nuclear is that Virat was strong on test cricket being the ultimate when he was captain.

Chandrasinghe has a good defence but he really needs to learn to score off bad balls and when the new ball has lost its shine. Strike rate of 27 is not gonna cut it.

If you're surviving the first session as an opener when you're sent in, I don't care if your strike rate is 7 tbh.

There’s definitely value in soaking up a lot of deliveries and letting more dynamic players attack the old ball, but a disadvantage in this format is that the match could well come down to first innings bonus points and having an anchor like Chandrasinghe will hurt them in that regard.

100 0vers is still a long time to score enough runs though. He's doing his job.
