So I decided to watch a replay of our first half against St Kilda rather than this

Really odd test match with both teams bowling so much short stuff

Stokes really is a fantastic cricketer and he nearly took another one away from us

Those 15 runs from our last wicket partnership with Lyon came awfully close to being a deciding factor

Bairstow was out sick shit. Spirit of the game Duckett was out too - ask him about that you gimp

Stokes is a great cricketer but it really was the Aussies making him that good, both in 2019 and today. The Aussies really did the best thing for test cricket and entertainment in general by giving Stokes a couple of lives in both those innings so that he could go on to play such wonderful innings that enriched the lives of not just cricket fans but humanity in general. It feels karmic that in 2019, Stokes was able to pull off the victory but 4 yrs later, he knew he owed the Aussies and the universe to return the favour.

Amazing effort and to keep the facade up during his post match interview...what a thespian.

For all their pretence and cucumber sandwiches the entitled ****s in the MCC members at Lords are still just as classless as the reprobates in the outer

saw worse behaviour at edgebaston last week than I've ever seen here at any cricket or afl game.

Two relevant things about the Bairstow dismissal

1) He released the ball at the stumps as soon as he’d gloved it cleanly - there was no hesitation waiting for Bairstow to leave his crease so the ball was still clearly live
2) Bairstow was still in his crease when the ball had been thrown (see picture above) so it’s his own fault for being an unaware nonce. You wouldn’t wander out of your crease to a spinner so don’t do it to a quick- I bet the Australian batters taking guard a foot outside of the crease were making sure they returned after leaving a ball go through to the keeper

Broad moaning about this is absolute gold. What a knob.

The thing that makes me laugh about Broad’s constant celebrappeals is that it’s impossible for his captain and other teammates to take him seriously since he thinks that every ball that hits the pads is stone dead. So they sometimes waste referrals on his appeals and then other times don’t make referrals that would be out because they’re afraid that old mate Stuey is just being optimistic again.

And always whinging.
Australia is extremely talented , clearly best in the world , sadly they put winning ahead of being a decent fair good bloke ,those whinging poms pay good money to see a fair decent game . They pay their money and want people to know what isn't sporting and decent . You call it whinging when someone tries to educate you on being a better human being .

Dumb cricket from Bairstow. There's no controversy here, or there shouldn't be. I see keepers do that hundreds of times, Bairstow himself would've tried it here and there. Usually though, the batsman isn't stupid enough to go for a little walk.

Poms are in no position to grab any moral high ground on this one. Least of all Broad and McCullum.

fairly sure I remember him trying it with Labs in the first test.

Edit: it was the 2nd test, only 2 days before!

Indeed.

Bairstow tried it 2 days ago.
