They should. Remarkable limited overs player and performed admirably being thrown around in the Test arena.

Sure mate.

Basically taking a massive dump on Warner's face mentioning them in the same sentence.

My thoughts on Watson are a bit left of field.

For instance, I consider his bowling to be his superior suit. It's a real shame injuries prevented him from showing this consistently, he was a very, very wily and underrated bowler.

Just a hugely underrated cricketer in general.

Watson's career, FWIW. Fantastic career.

Yeah but have you considered that Watson reviewed a lot?

Watto was so criminally underrated, and by all reports an absolute top human too. Love him.

I rated Watson, and not just because of the crush I had on him. Unfortunately was just one of those guys whose bodies don't hold up at the professional level. Being an all-rounder wouldn't have helped either. Doubled his opportunities for injury.

I'm fairly agnostic when it comes to Watson. Those stats show how good he was. The knock on him was some of his carry on at times (reviewing every single LBW was part of that) but also the notion that he underperformed given his talent.

The Ben Stokes comparison doesn't do Watto any favours if you ask me. Similar stats, sure, but Stokes is a proven matchwinner. Does his best work in the absolute critical moments of massive matches, throwing his entire team on his back and dragging them over the line under desperate circumstances. I can't recall Watson ever doing similar.

Who doesn't like watto ?
I didn't know it was a thing
I think public perception has shifted since his retirement, which is kinda my point.

He copped plenty of flack during his playing days.

Even then there's plenty of predictable and lame 'Watto review' jokes in spite of a lot of them being umpires call.

Watto reviews are like marnus thinking everything is out .

Whats a good target to set? 450?

Bat til tea then send them in

Hopefully Smith can crack a ton

Commentary will likely be calling for a declaration before lunch because reasons even though it would be way too early

If they are able to bat long enough I suspect the earliest a declaration to come would be around half an hour before tea

Cummins enjoys a late declaration. So yes, it'll be around tea, if we bat that long.

Feel for the Pak batters knowing they’re going to get absolutely mauled by short balls at 140 km, 450+ runs behind. Good practice for back foot shots I guess

Didn't Lyon struggle for ages to get wicket 400? I remember him having long stretch without getting a wicket and that it felt like he was struggling with pressure, was that around his last milestone?
