All the spinners have been getting pumped at optus this season will little to no spin and short straight boundaries .

We have a 3 game road trip coming up on some spin friendly decks where agar will be very valuable

Giving Eskinazi a crack over Crawley might not be the worst idea to be fair

Crawley looked like he hasn't held a bat in a year these last 2 games
Seriously?
Eskers has failed repeatedly over 2 years.

Crawley has had a disappointing run be he still buys and sells Eskers.

Green pulling out has really hurt us.

Crawley hasn't hit one anywhere near the middle the last 2 games, and he's leaving soon anyway isn't he?

On that, does Marsh become available after the Tests? Be a huge upgrade if so

Crawley has had 2 bad games after hitting after hitting 65 NO in the first game.

Think he has 2 or 3 games left.
Then they might considers Eskers.

Bottom line is we'll probably have the worst openers in the comp.

The tests finish after the BBL.

Can’t see how Connolly gets a game in the top 6.

He is being carried currently for development.

Losing Turner was a massive blow.
Probably getting game by default with Turner out.

Still probably need Hobson in for Agar as we're really skinny in the batting.

A tough run home as well.
Have to play the Heat twice and the Sixers in our last 4.

Hopefully best the Thunder next and try and hold on to top 2.

Thought he was a good signing when I first read it, but given he's failed 3 out of 4 innings and we knew he was only here for 6 or 7, it would take a couple of great innings now in the couple he has left to say he was worth it. Hope he does, but hes timing was all over the shop the last 2 games, and we probably have the worst openers in the comp now anyway so it'll be no different when he leaves

Forgot about the Windies series, probably shows my interest in it.

Steve Smith saying he’s keen to replace Warner as opener. Green would slot in at his perfect position of 4. It does kick the can down the road a bit in the search for our next long-term opener, but I think it will happen.

Feels like that is just trying to fit Green in at the expense of picking an actual opener.

Smith isn't an opener, Green's spot is currently occupied by Marsh, and Bancroft is a perfect (actual opener) replacement waiting in the wings.

With a little current stagnation maybe Smith sees it as a new challenge and way to reinvigorate his Test batting. It's an interesting idea.

And honestly it's good for one of the incumbents at least to not be shying away from the challenge.

Or he knows it will never happen so he is trying to look like the good guy as he is rapidly becoming completely unwatchable with his antics.

I sense Bancrofts got a hint of the Tim Zoehrers about him.. he knows whatever he does he won’t get another look in but they will string him along until he retires as a chance of a recall

Bancroft is Burns 2.0 for me. If he comes back in he'll make some scores but also knick off early a lot.

Rizwan and Jamal fighting back

Added 33 without loss and lean builds to 114

It’s going to be a tricky chase

Wrapped it up pretty well after this but still need 130 to win

A couple of early wickets and it’ll be a nervous dressing room
