Any news on recent property purchases? If so, which suburb and does he have a car?
My cousin is a real estate agent, and Jake Morrison used to support a house near Waverley, while Harry Breust just bought my cousin!

He let it slip on the footy show

Don't remember the Footy Show one - Prickering certainly let it slip on a radio interview and quickly corrected it to GWS. The hosts joked about it but should have gone in harder.

And Dusty and Kelly couldn’t knock back the insane money the Kangas were throwing at them either.
Hawks couldn’t get both Tom and Jaeger last year and how many games did Buddy end up playing with GWS after that FA deal was done before the FA and trade periods even started?!

Don’t believe everything (some may say anything) you read in the papers....they are just opinion pieces with no factual statements to support them unless they provide direct quotes from players or player agents.

Did Buddy or Liam Pickering directly state that he would be a Swan at any stage before the deal was done? No, they have since said it couldn’t have been done if the cat was let out of the bag.

Has Lever or his manager directly stated that he is Melbourne bound?

I know we usually pull out a surprise or two - but we were heavily linked to Frawley, Mitchell and Jaeger.

But did he like a post on Twitter?

We weren't to McEvoy & Lake though

Aware. However there is a lot of media about Lever leaving the Crows - none of which has us in the running. There was no media about Lake or McEvoy.

I hope that over the next year or two we can identify the next Buddy or Luke Hodge and trade our way up to getting them.

If the club saw a kid pop up that could be our next genuine superstar id hope they do another Trent Croad style deal to get them in. Give up Cyril, Smith, Breust etc and get that high pick.

We need a larger smattering of game winners for things to (3)repeat again IMO.

Nah we had been after Lake when he had been working on his previous contract. It should have been obvious that we would have another crack.

Kennedy and devon smith most likely going to carltank. Big fishes drying up. Dont mind if we try to trade to get into top end. A Cam Raynor or a Luke Davis Uniacke. Either one would be a good get.

As others have said, Kennedy and Devon Smith are not "big fish". A better description would be "prime candidates for Carlton's draft picks".

Not really as Lakey was still a contracted player for a year or 2 at Dogs.

There was definitely speculation linking us with Lake either the year before we nabbed him I think or maybe year prior to that.

As for McEvoy there was no speculation cos we weren't into him, we were after Longer and Mumford, and then were having discussions with Pelchen and he dropped bombshell that BB was available. Mumford had already declined and Lions were asking way overs for Longer, so we swooped.

There will never be another Buddy or Hodge

There has never been a player like Buddy before but we will see another one within a decade?

There's a reason players like Buddy are called 'once in a generation' kinds of players. I am not old enough to - but I dare say there are quite a few of the older Hawks fans that would tell you a thing or two about why Hudson was a better player than Buddy.

Not saying he's better than Hudson/Dunstall etc. I'm saying he's completely unique and we wont see someone with his skill set and physical gifts again
