Hickey's debut season for West Coast was a successful one. He is our second player to achieve a Best on Ground performance and did so with 4.87 votes in Round 6 v Geelong. Hickey ranked 14th for total hitouts and averaged 19.5 hitouts per game. He shouldered most of the ruck load this season with Naitanui injured and Vardy forgetting what a football is. Oh Willie what could have been. Missed almost the first half of the season due to foot stress fractures and then built up his season well to lift at the end. He is our third Best on Ground performance and he achieved this in Round 23 v Hawthorn with 15 disposals and 3 goals. He also ranked 7th for Goal Assists per Game. As we all know his season was ended by an ASADA investigation that will hang over him for some time yet.

Yep, him and Sheed I always have the biggest crush on.
People were genuinely discussing him as being in contention for AA Squad around the time of the byes. Had a couple of down games when Gaff came back but then got back to his best again.

While we finally started to see the decline of the great flag hero Josh Kennedy, he still had a good season in the blue and gold which included slotting his 600th career goal. Slotted 49 goals and ranked 4th for Total Marks Inside 50. JK is our next player with Best on Ground honours to his name with his 7 goal game against North Melbourne in Round 19 in which he polled 4.95 votes and only Eastern Rangers (Darling) and Avalor (Yeo) didn't award him the 5 votes.

What a career turnaround this guy has had. From barely holding his spot in our side to winning a premiership with us to becoming probably our most damaging player. Jetta was huge in 2019. His pace is still a weapon but has been overshadowed by his elite footskills and has been described as the best kick in the game. Jetta's best game came in the Round 23 loss v Hawthorn where he racked up 23 disposals and 3.59 votes in a season where he built upon his status as a leader. One of our biggest positive movers this year.

Picked up where he left off in 2019. Ryan was outstanding in his second season of AFL football and let the comp know that he is one of the most dangerous small forwards in the comp. Racked up two Best on Ground performances this year in Round 12 v Sydney with 4.87 votes and Round 8 v St Kilda with 3.8 votes. Played every game in 2019 and his best game statistically came in Round 20 v Carlton where he had 16 disposals, 4 marks and 4 goals and racked up 3.95 votes. Ryan lived up to his nickname 'Flyin Ryan' this year with huge grabs against Melbourne and Carlton which nominated him for Mark of the Year.

Ever reliable Bunga kept on keeping on in 2019. Our Premiership captain was again an All Australian and averaged 23.3 disposals. Had a few injury niggles this year but still managed to rank 4th in Kicks per Game this year. Hurn had two Best on Ground performances this year coming in Round 4 v Freo with 4.82 votes and the Semi Final v Geelong with 4.65 votes. Still looks like our most likely 300 gamer if he continues playing at the 2019 level.

After missing the flag last year, Gaff came back into the side in Round 3 following his suspension and played every game since. He had a shaky start to the year but came home strong and still polled in almost all of his games. Ranked number 1 for Total Uncontested Possessions and Kicks per Game in 2019. An All Australian squad spot rewarded Gaff after his strong season and his best game came when it counted in the Semi Final against Geelong with 4.09 votes, 30 disposals and 2 goals.
