Last year simmo would have gone back on after half time, snapped his hammy in 3 and succumbed quickly to old mans injury syndrome. Instead we take some short term pain, get him back in 3-4 weeks and he goes on to top bradleys record number of games.

Isnt that learning how to endure?

Yea, I believe that's correct.

We finished the draft with 1 spot remaining on our list, then Docherty did his ACL, followed by Pickett doing his patellar tendon (3 spots available)

We recruited Cottrel and Gibbons (1 spot available), then Bugg retired, so should have 2 spots available.

Docherty listed as season on our web-site too but indefinite (along with Pickett) on the AFL injury list.

That’s 2 picks then for the mid-season draft (unless there’s another write off or retirement in the next 3 weeks).

I love how he discusses players progress returning from injury too.

I think we used to look at players as.... Injured or not injured

When in reality, recovery is a gradual process with lots of grey area as well as many stages of fitness and gameplay recovery.

We now seem to be looking at the entire journey, including being very deliberate with phasing players back into full game time.

Me likey.

Kruezer dead set made from wet toilet paper

Was the best player on the ground early in Hawks match.

A huge loss.

Makes us a MUCH better team when fully fit.
