Bossy followed the Richmond cheat into subbing Durdin for our small once Balta has subbed out for more run.
Bossy was right in calling for the sub to be scrapped but cheating coaches have too much say.......

I just watched the last quarter again and Durdin seemed to hurt his knee when Nank fell on him with about 14.30 left to go in the last but was still on the field chasing in the lead up to their final goal with 9 minutes left and we then hear from Daisey he has been subbed.
I reckon we’ve gamed the system to get Fog out there after Balta got subbed.

Hurt his knee, went off got bandaged. Came back on and someone else fell across his knee. Hobbled off. Unlikely to get up I’d guess.

With all the Rain we had to contend with tonight, why on earth would we want Fog out there as well?

We've got Martin, Williams, Gov, OMac and Cunners, all with re-occurring soft tissue injuries. We must take the emotion out of it and cut our losses. How many years has this been going on for? You can throw Marchy along with that list too. It's very sad, but something must be done.

My partner saw Jack Martin a few days ago and said she was staggered to see how frail he was. She’s seen a few players in person with me (Marlion Pickett, Tom Lynch, Tom Mitchell) and she reckons he barley looks the part, even compared to Pickett who I’d say is a pretty frail guy.

I do wonder if he needs to stack a bit of muscle on, he is an outlier in terms of his body composition for a senior player.

I'm sure he is fine. Was probably knackered after stepping back up to afl level.

I really hope it was just a blow up from a fitness point of view and not an injury

Perhaps the physio/medical team pulled rank on the coaches box to ensure he didn’t injure himself

Strength isn't martin's issue. His goal he threw off a tackler. He's surprisingly strong. Always has been.

How the fk is Hewett the only durable FA signing that we’ve recruited.

Daisy for the first couple years got unlucky injuries, Gov is made of glass, Martin is in and out, Williams we already know.

I think he is a superb athlete and manipulates his and his opponents weight and momentum very well it’s just well documented that muscular hypertrophy plays a significant role in injury prevention. Plenty of peer reviewed studies supporting this.

Interesting watch on Prime Training today w/ Tom Mitchell who mentioned that both Lance Franklin and Josh P Kennedy would bench about 60kg, yet both are considered strong on field. So I do take your point, just speculating as to whether or not in Martins case he could benefit from some additional muscle on his frame.

Martin has been such a disappointment. Just does not impact the game enough. A passenger.

it's time we discussed his performance.

Was always a HUGE Martin fan and he really brought it for 3 of his seasons at GC.

But he simply needs to play 2s until he dominates games....he's well capable of kicking 4 and having an impact in the middle/around the ground.

Philp doesn't offer less presently (almost). Honey too finding his mojo...

Martin can stand up in a tackle. Its his contest to contest work that is his problem

Is there footage of either of our players getting injured that we can review? Or were these another set of phantom injuries that just appear.

Im so scarred by mckay and marchbanks knee injuries.

Both played out the game and looked fine...marchy even got interviewed after the game.

Then bang, mid week we get the news they're out for 6 weeks.
