Sh1tloads.
It is uncanny how lucky Brisbane have been navigating their injury pathways for several years now.
Tuck your claws away, tiger. So what you’re saying is, you have no idea what he’s on.
save your time - tyb is with them now......
Reckon the warmer weather helps. Less likely to sustain injuries, particularly to muscles, in warmer weather, probably
I guess he’s the high performance guy so he’s done well the last 6 weeks we’re performing very highly lolOf course you could argue it.
Anything and everything could be argued.
But it’s not really something you can argue logically.
Let me ask you this - what is his role?
I wasn't aware people assume anything on here... How patronising to the enlightened masses!please tell me you're not suggesting people here assume things regarding the club, it's practices and policies? you're not suggesting that are you?
What?Second worst, sitting in 17th place on the injury ladder multiple games and percentage ahead of us is the Gold Coast suns….an hour south on the Gold Coast highway
The weather is a fallacy

So it is the warmer weather.Haha, keep up
Our situation is not this year, it’s not last year, nor even the year before. It’s a malaise over many years now.
Much like the GC Suns, funnily enough for some…GC are having their best season in years on the injury front.
3 on the injured list this week, imagine if our master phys edder could do that!!!

SOS just beginning what looks a 400m...appears to be going at about 70%.
I don’t believe this is new, they’ve always gone with alternative therapies to aid recovery. Bowen therapy, neurophysics etcAgree that Brisbane have had a really good run over and extended period of time.
Same can't be said for the Gold Coast who always have a long line of injuries so it's not just a warm weather climate thing like some have suggested.
I think it's more than high performance though though. It's funny that until recently they famously had some of the worst facilities across the league.
Would love to know the secret to their success. Think they haven't had our interest in injury prone play as apart from Joey D.
So it is the warmer weather.
We have 3 soft tissue injuries and people still want Russell's head, fmd
Sack RedFury.Well the naysayers need someone to sack!! Now that we're winning games they can't sack Voss or the entire coaching group anymore.
Preseason & Rounds 1-6: Sack Russell
Rounds 7-14: Sack Voss.
Rounds 15-20: Sack Russell (again)
Geez these people would be fun in a workplace! (not)
It's warm up here year round. I play golf at 6 am in winter in shorts......Does it really matter? After being poached from a lineage of several successful clubs, I'm pretty sure he's been well compensated.(and it was reported at the time to be very generous)
I'm not anti Russell, our fitness people have been wonderful/good/satisfactory with fixing Charlie, Doc, Cunners, Gov, Marchy etc.
But Brisbane have been wonderful in this area and it's certainly worth researching their policies.
As I said before, I support what Russell has achieved, managing to get most of our chronically injured players back on the ground. It's warm up here year round. I play golf at 6 am in winter in shorts......
Very easy to recover.
So it is the warmer weather.
Looked at AFL official injury lists this week. Numbers on list as follows.
Marvel teams
Carlton 9, Essendon 9, North 13, St Kilda 7, Bulldogs 9
MCG teams
Collingwood 2, Hawthorn 5, Melbourne 8, Richmond 4
Would be keen to see a long term trend on that.
Got to question the surface, 100%. Also, over the journey many have been impact style injuries, not really up to Russell. I still worry about all of our back injuries though. Just from memory, Hewett, Gov, Walsh, SOS(?), Williamson (for years, since retired), Cripps (last year or year before?). Just don't hear of backs playing up in other clubs as much...Looked at AFL official injury lists this week. Numbers on list as follows.
