You’d think the Cerra being told that he will need to prove himself through VFL was more likely the club just not being happy with his performance this year when available so giving him the heads up not to rely on his name & that he has to earn his spot. Seems reasonable. Probably gained some Mayo in translation.

I'm reading it as "no guarantees"

Reckon that Cerra and Pitto should be both be added to our list of potentially tradable. If not for this years cycle , we’ll have canvassed market response for next year , can’t see these to players as part of long term plans.
The same Cerra that was leading our B & F after round 19 last year before getting injured and finishing 4th or has he got a brother on the list that you want to get rid of? Adam Cerra is an excellent footballer who needs to be injury free to show it. Hopefully that can be achieved with a new fitness team in 2025.

Pitto was, in effect, recruited by swapping him for Phillips which rated him as a pick in the 60's. He is a backup ruckman who has been forced to play more often than we'd like due to our main ruckman getting injured. Refer Darcy Fort. The main problem is that he is almost too good to be a back up but has too many limitations to be a #1. Even if we were to trade him out we would need draft capital and salary cap to bring in a replacement.

I'd be like most and assume that it's simply not true. Particularly bearing in mind that the same match committee rushed him back from injury to play him in our most recent game, a final.

Great to have rumours appear, however if they appear to be untrue then they are fairly likely to be untrue.

At the same time hopefully the coaching group have done some reviews and realised there were some issues with selection

Keep bringing it Glicksy11 ...

You will get some right and some wrong but at least you're passing on what you've heard and having a go.

No need to justify yourself to anyone!
Thats true mate but.....I think the genuine ones don't try to justify...they just share and leave it at that..the ones that hang around as their nose gets longer spinning the yarn....well enough said

The cerra part not playing R1 could’ve been a hyperbole from my source but he was defs told he isn’t guaranteed R1 selection and was told we are looking at adding youth and changing up our midfield mix.

The view the club has is to get konstanty and berry as small forwards and try playing Fogarty on ball as well as durdin (rlly rate this he was always touted as a burst inside mid in his draft year).

The club knows we need leg speed.

The player we are looking at as a salary dump is quite the opposite, but is a great addition if he does happen- makes sense why Kennedy is on the table also. All in all the club knows we need speed (this is driven also by stewie dew who will be made offical by the new year) his game style is dynamic and will utilise Saad, Williams, Durdin, Fogarty pace and also harry and Charlie as tall forwards due to fast ball movement.

But yes cerra was given a rocket up the ass and also told he is on the table for Trac-he is open to this given he wanted to go to dees before us when we got him. He would also be their number 1 mid (maybe viney arguably) when Oliver leaves and should Trac leave.

According to glicks we are getting SDK, Trac, Trevaglia, Berry, T.Hotton, Konstanty and the twins!! Good times

As I’ve said, Petraccas happens (50/50) we only keep 11 and get berry.

Houston highly unlikely as north are trading F1 which is a top 5 pick. Houston wants us but obviously we aren’t going to do a better deal. Why would port trade him to us when he is contracted and has a better offer from north. It’s either port or north and who wants to go to north?

SDK as said yesterday isn’t happening due to cap space will get way more next year when he is out of contract.
