If we somehow nab another pick in the high 20s - low 30s, could we bundle those up for Brisbane's pick 17? They'll be looking for more points with Ashcroft and Marshall

Owies has met with the Lions. Owies and #29 for #17?

It’s kind of the ideal scenario really.

Hold pick 11
Trade our F1 and then some to GCS for pick 12
Trade our 2nd round pick (31) and the Owies and Kennedy traded picks to Brisbane for pick 17 and a F2
Trade pick 12 and a F3 to Port for Houston - take it or leave it
Go to the draft with picks 11 and 17

Out: F1, pick 31, Owies, Kennedy, F3
In: Houston, pick 17, F2

Hmmmm

How are his hammies?
Played a fair bit of vfl this year and some games in the 1s in the back end of the year as a sub if I remember correctly.

Fingers crossed he is over those hammys he had in his first few years. Guys a super talent imo and if he gets his body right this offseason I expect he will explode in 2025. I think he is worth the punt

Have heard it quoted from multiple sources. Backloaded lucrative contract.

Not sure it's quite that much but it's certainly been a talking point and a sore spot for some players up here.

Can also say that Owies => Brisbane has likely come on the back of Owies => Gold Coast discussion.

Is there somewhere where someone has actually explained the intricacies of how a trade gets done?

For example, let’s say West Coast want Owies and Carlton is happy to trade Owies to West Coast.

Why does the trade then take several days? What processes does it have to go through?

I don’t know whether someone has ever actually outlined this detail. But I would be really interested to know what happens.

More to do with clubs dealing their main piece of business/trade before these deals get finalised

In this example, WC would be focusing on the Barrass trade with the Hawks, which holds up other deals

Looking at the lay of the trade landscape.

Would be shocked if Richmond didn't trade with the Lions a bunch of picks they won't use for 17.

Richmond's current hand before Bolton, Baker and Rioli trades

1, 21, 29, 39, 41, 47, 57, 66, 72
