Jayden Laverde - Ess -> StK. A year to run on his deal, Carl, Pies, Cats also all been linked.

Matt Owies - Carl -> Bris, GCS, WCE. Reportedly has been offered a 2 yr deal, but also club happy to see him field offers as club looks at re-jigging list. Midweek tackle saying he has met with Suns and Eagles. Twomey saying Brisbane have interest

Tom Clurey - Port -> WCE. Depends on new coach, interest has been flagged.

Riley Garcia - WB -> WCE, North. 2 year deal from Dogs. WCE happy to maybe out price to bring him back to WA.

Joe Richards - Coll -> Port. Considering a move to Alberton.

Caleb Daniel - WB -> North. Mitch Cleary stating North into Daniel and he will look to meet with more clubs.

Jack Graham - Rich -> WCE. Has a 4 year deal from WC. Reported a end of 2nd rounder could be compensation for Tigs.

Adam Tomlinson - Melb -> StK, Coll. Frustrated at lack of senior opportunities. Saints and Pies reportedly interested.

Tom Campbell - StK -> Melb. DFA free to join Dees.

Ollie Lord - Port -> Coll, Melb. Both enquired. Pies in the market for a forward, Dees long term admirers. Cats made a surprise charge last trade period.

James Peatling - GWS -> Multitude of interested clubs. GWS have 3 year deal in front of him. Undecided.
Alex Davies was mentioned as being courted by Collingwood (maybe Geelong as well IIRC)

For a whole host of reasons, Perryman nominating Port has now become critical in our ability to bring in Houston.

I'm tipping the moment Perryman chooses Port, you will see a Carlton nomination by the Houston camp.

You only nominate a team once they let you know they are super keen!

Can't see that happening until after the GF, as there are other players that might drop in our lap!

I don't think its about us being keen or not.

You only nominate another team if you know they can get the deal done. If we say pick 11 is a no go, then we'll either need to buckle on that or be very confident we can get 12 off GC for him to nom us. Plus how Port goes with other targets will also impact their willingness to let him go so might want to see how that plays out.

Suspect that's what holding up the nom.

I suspect a better player is holding up the nom...

I’d be having a throw at the stumps to get Konstanty on the cheap from the Swans. Played 12 games in VFL, kicked 14.13. 3 tackles or more in 11 of those games. Avg. 11.3 disp. Say he’s got a bit of Papley about him. But I think he’s also had injury issues like Stone.
I’d definitely take a punt on Konstanty and stone both high end talent from good systems.
I expect our injury luck to change with swans head of high performance coming to us!!

Agree should Port snare Perryman, it will be easier for us to dislodge Dan Houston.
Hopefully upcoming trade period will be an active one for the Baggers, we desperately, need a quick, elusive, good IQ distributing midfielder.
Wonder if Austin would have a crack at snaring a Peatling , he'd would be a good addition.

And yet, one of the ITKs said he'd been offered a 2 year deal by CFC (but at $$$ considerably below other offers...)?

Similar vibes to when we traded Tuohy when it comes to low balling offers.

Ideally we'd love to keep him.

But feel that his best and the potential best of Durdin, Motlop and Moir isn't worth the $200-300k difference being offered on the market

If we get a guy like Wicks from Sydney it'll be at about the price we're offering Owies. The club would have some confidence that the combination of Wicks/Durdin/Motlop replaces the goal output of an Owies while also improving the defensive pressure and workrate that has been a criticism of Owies game.

My personal feelings aside I think it's mostly fair enough if the club believes in Durdin and Motlop to get right and have breakout seasons.

Realistically, we're probably selling high on Owies.

For the life of me, I have no understanding of why we aren’t chasing Peatling. He’s dynamic, quick, agile and kicks goals.

Perryman to the Pies makes sense. His parents are die hard members still.

I also think it probably means that his hometown BFF Matty Kennedy also tries to get to the Pies this trade period.

Port is going to be a fascinating watch with all of the businesss mooted.

Free agents Cumming and Perryman won’t be cheap. Thinking if they get either they will eat up any salary cap saved by trading Houston.

Clearly in the market for a small forward option or two Joe Richards in the mix

Lukosius is the dramatic one. Back ended deals rumoured to have him due for $1.9million in 2025. Even if the Gold Coast paid half, still equates to a million close enough.

They are going to NEED Houston off their books and may not be able to dictate to the “winning” suitor on trade value
Could we chime in for a salary dump here? And try to turn next year's first into their no6? We do seem to be whiping the decks.... then maybe split 11?
