He seems a lot more assured with his disposal since he’s been back.
He seems stronger and more sure in the contests. His numbers show improvement. He's found those missing possessions. He's someone who probably doesn't have to get heaps of it but someone you want getting it because he uses it better than most.

This is my thoughts 2019 Cripps was elite
2020 was spent dropping weight and being more athletic. Game was still very contested and thus he lose part of his main strength

2021 was spent putting all the size back on to become that contested beast only for AFL to change to rules last minute to speed the game up.

I have a feeling 2020 Cripps would have been great this year

Could well be the case. Perhaps we could change our tactics to make the game more closed contested and physical to suit guys like Cripps and Kennedy.

Cam Bruce needs to go also please. A fwd line coach who was not a fwd to speak of in his playing days is embarrassing.

Huge if true! Shame about fisher though, he has some real zip and class

Sos himself was going to walk away the following year.. so no, we wouldn't.

Wouldn’t mind seeing SOS as head of football.

Yep, he’s probably a bit uncompromising, but he’s methodical and driven. Also doesn’t play “the boys club.”

You may question some of his picks as list manager, but he had a process - get talls first, then mids. Spend high picks on young talent and later picks on stop gap players. And the way he traded draft picks show he’s strategically minded.

So, he’s strategic and follows a process. And he knows football and Carlton.

This comment is possibly fuelled by emotion after the performance on Saturday, but I'm happy to let Fisher go. He doesn't defend. He is happy losing. He would rather be best mates with opposition players than win games for Carlton. Butters & McHenry are the same size as Fisher, and both would die for their team-mates. Fisher runs around like he's Dusty when in reality he's put together 4-5 great games out of 65.

Is this suggesting that SOS will be back? I thought it was Liddle that wants him gone? They wouldn’t work together again, surely?
Love the rumour though. Takes my mind off the actual football 👍

Comes across as one of the major proponents of the Hollywood mentality at the club. Our players have largely done shit **** all and seem enthused by it.

We clearly need a footy head on the board at some point. I've been trying to brainstorm possible options but can't come up with an obvious candidate. Judd really was our only obvious choice but hasn't worked out for reasons none of us can be certain on.

We could really use a Dunstall atm, someone that commands respect and a cool head in a crisis.

Who are our options? You would probably stick clear of players from our wooden spoon years or at least would be associated with some sort of success.

Sadly, a fair bit in this. No more “Hollywood” types at the club pls. He still has some currency, trading him and SPS back to WA could get something really worthwhile.

Cutesy time is over
