Just an update

De goey: as above will not happen. True that he approached us. Club discussed possibly but not keen

Hunter: highly unlikely

Merrett: will stay at essendon

Oliver: been saying all along will remain at Melbourne. Nothing changed in this respect.

Look for club to trade in possibly 1 more player. Won’t be an a grade mid however. Hearing dunkley but a lot to play out

If Dunkley isn't an A-grade mid then we only have one A-grade player in our team. His 2019 season was ridiculous and the first real season he was played as a mid. Williams and Dunkley you won't believe are my favourite non-Carlton players, if we get them both...

So still a chance Oliver. Maybe Wines too although not mentioned. Stephenson? Who at Tiggers? Higgins?
Hmmm..Beams if he is ok?

All these updates are just click bait I could have told you all this stuff just by listening and reading. In fact, I’m gunna go close my eyes, throw a dart at my dartboard, whatever number I hit (hope it’s not the bull or a big treble) and then I’ll read fanfooty and see who that number corresponds too, and we’ll start again.

Update - I hit a 9. Looks like we’re getting Jack Steven. The others, Neale, Gray and Cotchin. Start the rumour mill.

Hasn't ruled out Oliver yet has he?
Nah said a Demon but would be "difficult to get done" which I think comes as no surprise to anyone. Unless Oliver absolutely digs his heels in and says I want to be at the Blues I cant see how on earth we get it done. As many have said Melbourne (rightfully) would ask for the world.

Throw McGovern on a wing and make him work his butt off as a lead up connection between both back/forward lines.

Given how good his hands can be if you get him one out on a wing he'll clink a few more marks there than he does in the forward line.
Only good thing about that is he‘ll be close to the interchange bench.

Seems strange to say no A graders then mentions Dunkley as a possibility, totally baffled by that post

Can’t understand why Doggies would trade out Dunkley. Assume they are willing to sacrifice surplus midfield depth for a quality defender and a quality forward. Not sure if that makes us their ideal trading partner. Clearly they will also want to trade out of the first round of the draft as well. Should do ok with Dunkley and a first rounder to deal.

So he's saying a GWS/GC/Pies/Tigers/Bombers player at around $500-650k. Also mentions 'bargains'.
The Melbourne player would appear to be Oliver. No mention of Bulldogs or Dunkley.

I can't think of too many players who I think are worth that amount of money that we'd want and are gettable from those clubs.
