As per the Bluemour File OP, this is a thread for discussing Carlton related rumours.
http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/threads/bluemour-file.1085141/

Rumour posters should post their rumours in both threads for those that like just to read rumours and for those that like to have get lost in their rumour files.

Adam Coneys mega trade
Carlton give Geelong 7
Carlton get 13, 16
Carlton give 13 to essendon for Saad
Carlton give 16 to Pies for Trealor and pies pay $250k of salary
Geelong on trade 7 and 11 to GWS for Cameron

So, Cats pay picks 11, 13 & 16 for Cameron?

That's pretty steep. Even in a compromised draft.

Then there's the issue of age. Cameron turns 28 around the time next season starts... So Geelong are probably penciling him to play for the next 10 years ;)

Are Geelong that desperate to get pick 7 from us? 1644 points we're giving up...and Geelong giving up 2279.

I did. You didn't.
Stop fixating on the term of current contract and the current $$$.
Offer the bloke a solution (to the current predicament) and a potential tilt at a flag.

He'll take less coin and agree to different terms.

Prove it. Why should he take a pay cut?

Makes no sense at all. He's budgeted on this....covid intervenes and hit everyone and now he should take another hit on top of that, as well?

Who would do that willingly, under the given circumstances?

Pies will either accept a crappy pick for Treloar OR pay a chunk of his salary.

I can't see them doing both...

16 is not a crappy pick.

$200k-$250 k a year....ok. They might be able to cut Treloar back from paying 5 years worth.

They dug the hole....it's not a charity.

Not steep at all, Cameron is an absolute gun, with Hawkins and others as foils and given the quality football delivery at the Cats. Shut the gates.

Prove it? ROFL.

Really?

Willingly? Well he gets to walk away from those cluster ****s with the lion's share of the $$$$ of an inflated contract.

The logic is sound.

Yeah right. He'll take a pay cut because you say he will. That will do :)

He doesn't want to leave and nor should he. Leave to get a pay-cut?

Not really. He wants to stay, why does it benefit him to take less money and move to a different club when he’s happy where he is?

I don’t see any way it makes sense for him to take a pay cut

Its trade radio, I thought by now people would understand they just talk any scenario just to get listeners in.

I’m no trade radio novice. SOS making himself look like a fool. It’s quite embarrassing.

Especially when, the reason he has such a big contract is that he has repeatedly taken less money with back-ended deals which have already been restructured 2-3 times.

Jed lamb should have been given another year instead of him
I see both him and Sam Kerridge on site occasionally.

So we have promised Williams more midfield time...

I knew he has had stints in there before (and I saw his 2019 PF performance) but can he play there full time?

Will he switch between mid and attacking HBF?

I imagine he’s already had contact with AR about tailoring a program for the off season that will bridge any physical gap between his current level and what would be necessary for a predominantly midfield role.

for mine he’s clearly got the ability to play there, probably needs some physical fine tuning.
