What is a boy's club? I mean, Liddle, Lloyd etc aren't girls. Is it because 2 of these guys used to play for Carlton, and for some reason we shouldn't have former successful players around the club because it feels too insular?

Surely, it has to be about ability? We've got players playing conditionally all the time and nobody that knows how to win is motivating them. We see players from other teams who are passionate about their team, club and guernsey. Do we?

Our boys club at old Carlton used to accept nothing less than winning, I like boys clubs

Sorry what do you mean by this? That because Teague / Liddle / others ove the last 20 years had a boys club going so that justifies us continuing with another one...just with different people?

IF we are sacking them, we are doing so because of our current performance, the findings of the review, and/or their response to the review. I'm not sure anybody is getting sacked for having mates at the club.

So much unsubstantiated speculation. Some saying no due process if Lyon is appointed. How would anyone know? The Bord may well have been conducting due diligence for months. May have interviewed him over Zoom. There’s enough smart people on the Board to conclude appointments like these aren’t made on a whim.

And I’d be cooling the jets on a return of SOS in any formal role. Unless something has changed drastically in recent times, there are still some on the Board that don’t rate him that highly on a few different fronts. Perhaps that may change if the balance of the Board shifts…but that’s a little way off.

I am cooling on Cerra if the price is to high and we should be chasing Luke Parker with that cash.

I really don’t think he’s gettable, has stated all along that he wants to stay, is supposedly asking for 4 years at $700,000, no problems with that, Sydney will make space to keep who they need, if they need to get rid of Sinclair, Hewett, and someone else small, they will.

Would obviously love him, but I doubt he will be the one forced out, I would be putting pressure on Wicks and Warner though, see if they could be tempted.

Both games at VFL Park
Melbourne knocked us of in the Qualifying final Schwarz and others tore us a new one by 27 points…

Geelong in the Semi final missing Couch Hocking Bairstow Mansfield again tore us a new one by 33 points…
