If we think he is the best man for being on the panel we have to work around it. Especially if he is keen to be part of it. We just performed "an in depth review of the whole football department" with one guy in WA and one in NZ.

My gut feel is that he isn't all that fussed and when there was pushback he didn't fight too hard to work out a resolution between CFC-3AW-Foxtel. Other than a fat pay check there's no real connection with us to do a favour that I'm missing is there?

Will definitely be on the outer when Darcy comes in. Bevo has basically said as much as he doesn't rate him in the ruck. And with Ugle-Hagan, Naughton and Darcy who'll be up forward suddenly his opportunities are limited. Definitely think he's gettable. Doubt it would take an early first.

I got the feeling Cook would be at Carlton given his response when asked. Something along the lines of "I'm focussing on Geelong in the finals right now".

That sort of answer basically admits he's leaving. If he were staying with Geelong he'd say he's staying, not deflect the question and say I'm focussed here right now.

We had a much longer time frame which was more forgiving to work around different schedules.

10ish weeks for the review and maybe a month or so for a coach.
