David Teague is gone.

Alistair Clarkson still in the mix

Ross Lyon still in the mix too.

Brad Lloyd also gone.

Geoff Walsh in the management mix

Justin Leppitsch in the management mix

Raw, emotional day, apparently.
This sounds way more realistic...

Liddle can get stuffed. Bloke hires all of his mates and “yes” men. Focus on handing out free memberships and leave the big decisions to others.

Gee Brad Scott is uninspiring.
Seems to be a real issue at the club, lets hope we move him on very soon.

Is there a third option to replace DT, if he is gone? If Clarko or Ross don’t pan out?

Holy shit. Can we really take a review report from someone that costs someone in management a job, then appoint the reviewer in that position?

Happy to replace Lloyd but I hope that's not the position Walsh is getting. Seems like a massive conflict of interest.

The review started in July; we are in august. That including a lockdown is a short amount time to draw conclusions from. I am not saying the review is a farce or useless. I am saying that the board when considering the recommendations of the review should also consider what staff/players think which seems to be what’s going on. In other words we should not rollover to every recommendation made.

This makes sense. Verify the accuracy and integrity of the Review findings by getting feedback on the recommendations proposed. Smart.

Walsh oversaw the shitshow that Collingwood and their salary cap became.

Depends how it comes about.

If, through the review process, Walsh has impressed the board so much that they've then opted to offer him a senior position then I don't think it's a huge problem. If anything, it's a great one because your new Head of Football comes in and doesn't have to be briefed on the report findings.

That seems the most likely scenario that would lead to Walsh being appointed, because it would be very hard to believe he'd submit a review report that said:

Lloyd to be replaced by one of the following candidates:
- Geoff Walsh
- Geoffrey Walsh
- G. Walsh

Saints made their footy department changes. Hamill gone!

Our malaise began when Elliott ran him out of the club at the end of the 2000 season so I could see the return of the prodigal son being part of the club as it return to its former glory, perhaps as Football Director?

Seriously though, the criteria for that role is generally a respected ex-players, who's a good media performer and has some resonance with the fans.

The likes of Murphy, Betts, Kreuzer and Simpson are probably a bit too close to the current playing group to be considered.

I'm not sure how I feel after today.

You would think the review findings would indicate Teague is or isn't the right man for the job and the powerbrokers would act on those recommendations after handing them down.
Obviously Teague, Lloyd and the other assistants have their right of reply into the findings but I wouldn't think anything they say would sway the outcome.

I am not out for DT's or Lloyd's scalp but I would be bemused if we dragged this out a day only for those blokes to be called back into the club and handed their walking papers.

I am happy Tom Browne and the band of vultures hiding in the bushes didn't get their way but I would much prefer we allowed for a swift exit rather than sending people home to sleep on their demise so we look more "professional"

Are you able to elaborate on the reasons for this MS3 ?

Club has done it's utmost to control it's narrative

Lyon openly campaigning for the job before Teague was out the door was unprofessional and a field day for the media

No brainer.

Lloyd steals people's lunches out of the fridge.

Remember that gross fart in the June meeting? It was Lloyd who dealt it.

PS I bring hot donuts to work every morning.

Liddle had a big say in changes to head coach and list management in recent years and so if head coach appointment proves to be flawed in review and Teague goes then Liddle has to go too, in my opinion. Lloyd too, one would think. The board appointed Liddle so even could argue they need to be in question too, but if they remove Liddle or downgrade him to just membership department and corporate finances would at least keep my membership renewal in place.
A few assistant coaches gone already. If head coach, football manager and ceo all changes least it shows it is taken seriously and a genuine important shake up happens. But if it just head coach and not much else it looks like not really learning anything from poor appointment choices.
